Blazer is really done. Last pictures while she is still mine.

Should just have to run wire from the positive on say right rear to the positive post on the subwoofer, and a negative on the left rear to the negative post on the subwoofer.

Edit, also make sure the nominal impedance on the subwoofer is 4ohms. Most 4 channel amps when bridged must see a 4ohm impedence or (numerically) higher

OK, I have too many wires hooked up then. I'll see if I can get two of them out of there.

The sub is a 4 ohms.

Got the sub wiring fixed today. Now it bumps the way it should. Thanks 87K506!

Got the inner seals replaced in the 60 and added some outer axle seals for good measure.

Built a solenoid box, now I need to find a solenoid wiring diagram for them. Seems pretty straight forward though.

Also made up a guard for the radiator in case it should ever blow its top.

Sorted out some other small items. Pretty productive day for a Sunday.

Not too much new to report.

Got some more of those small items taken care of. Seems like there is always a list of them growing and shrinking as the build continues.

Got some awesome decals from Scott at Bighorn Graphics. I'll try to get a pic of the blazer out in the sun, maybe this weekend.

Ran into some issues with cam bearings at the engine builders yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow, those will be solved and we can get back on track.

Oh, almost forgot. Also got the tail lights wired up as well as the brake lights and all the wiring I could do on the winch solenoid box is done. Just the batt cables left and putting the remote receptacles in their places.

Are you just using the XFI controller, or are you using the whole system (intake/throttle body/injectors etc)? Who is tuning it or did you get the self tuning setup

I'm not using the whole system.

I had hotrodsolutions.net put injector bungs in my intake. We're using a Full throttle performance, throttle body.

The rats nest of wires is somewhat misleading too. There is alot of stuff there that I won't ever use and some that I won't use now but may go back and take advantage of.

It has things like shaft sensors for a turbo, or for monitoring converter slippage. Power adders for controlling 4 stages of nitrous or the like.

Lots of stuff that just doesn't apply to my build. Those will all get sorted out and either unpinned or if I think I may use them in the future, they'll get tucked.

Apparently there is a guy at FAST that has a program for almost any engine you can dream up. Or at least a place to start. Hopefully I can grab one from him and get it close enough it can make the adjustments the rest of the way. I'm sure I'll have to tweak a fuel table or two and perhaps the spark tables a bit.

To be perfectly honest, I'm incredibly green about this stuff. I read what I can when I can. Or research what I need too to fill in the blanks as I go.

Looking really good, Kert. I like how the front clip turned out. As for that wiring mess, have fun!

Thanks!

I think about 70% of that isn't necessary for this rig or at least I don't plan on using it now. Nice to know its there for the future though.

I'm hoping this evening we can set everything out and finish painting all the pullies and brackets and other pieces for the engine. Then Install it on Saturday and get the cam broke in. If we can get that done, I can pull the carb and dizzy back off and put in the fuel injection stuff and get it tuned.

The clock is tickin'.
