Got off work a bit early today so got some work done on the sliders.
Was going real well until I ran out of wire so going to go get some more tomorrow.

Mapped out where the stringers are going to go. Going to have to do them in stages. Going to be able to get three of them in now. Then the other two after the cage goes in and the body has some support. Have to cut out both the front and the middle body bolts to run the stringers where they are. Which is basically where the A & B pillars are going to be. Going to have five stringers plus the rear mount.

When I do the seat bars going to tie the body into them also

Looking at the truck from the ass end I can see how this is going to look great in the end. Really tie together how narrow the rest of it is already.

Got the other side done for now. Have a bunch of grinding, well flap wheeling to do. As well as one piece to weld on the drivers side.

Have to make a decision on what to do with my exhaust. Since Twinkie tends to smoke a bit, well a lot sometimes, not sure how I want to run it. Thinking about 45ing it in front of the tire or moving it up so it basically exit the same spot it does now.

you'll just have to put a floor back in..so wheres the advantage in that?..I would move the exhaust up from where it is

It's not tempting fate....it's just creating alot of work for not much.

You know I know a guy with a brand new 454

Probably not doing plate weigh's too much. Not sure what yet though. Maybe really thin stuff.

Well we will see. Not really sure that I am going to need any. The distance between the stringers is not much more then a foot and the space between the slider and the frame is not much more then that.

Spent a little bit today cleaning up some of the welds. I do better not trying to get it all done in one day.
Welded in another little plate on the passenger side filling in the hole where the angle iron should have been longer.

Fixed the front bar where it was welded onto the fire wall. Fire wall shakes a lot less now.

Going to have to pull out the center console in prep for the front seat bars.

Did some cleaning up of the edge of the fire wall also. Started trying to figure out how to do the A pillar and attach it to the fire wall. May end up doing a square tube in front of the round tube.

If I put orange on it it may break like two of the other Orange trucks I know. Want to keep my Blazer Bash attendance perfect.
