Do you guys think shooting that filter straight over and right behind the battery will get it far enough away from the heat? I can get it right against the fender and battery with zero bends. Trying to find "cold air" will be a bugger if I need to make all sorts of bends.

If you have one battery I would get it over to the DS and punch open one of those knockouts on the rad support by the headlights. Assuming your truck has those, I know mine does.

I added dual battery and my ac gets in the way over there

First things first, did you go through an properly setup the parameters, what cam setting did you use? Did you properly adjust your IAC? Did you verify the TPS is zeroing out? If the rpm is low is your target rpm set too low?

And if your timing wasn't touched I don't see that being a problem

What trans are you running? @skunked im being told the bracket might be wrong for my 700r4

TH400.

the 700 TV cable is a PITA, dealt with it on the 57 with FiTech. What bracket is that?

you need to make sure the throw on the fitech linkage is correct. If it's not pulling enough or too much the trans won't shift right. It was a bitch on the 57, took some messin with.

So back to the air question. Would pulling from right by the battery help at all? Gets it away from the engine, headers and fan.

By right Im assuming you mean pass side on top of the inner fender right by the heater box? If so then yes it will get it away from the engine as much as you can but any way to get outside fresh air in near it will help. Like was suggested with the knockouts next to the radiator. I would at least open the one up on the pass side to let air into the engine bay on that side to help also.

So funny thing... I had a shop install my ez inch on this truck.... seems simple right? They just unbolted the front end and slid the blocks in and tightened it back up. No bolt through the middle, meaning no centering pins for my FRONT axle. Luckily I found the hardware and stopped driving the truck.. this is basic stuff. Who does that? It could have killed me. I need a lift at my house so I can do all my work...

You dont need a lift to work on your truck. Just sayin. Its hard to find any competent persons now adays. ****ers only know how to deliver pizzas or something. The skilled hands on crew is a dying breed. The dumbasses at discount tire couldnt even get my dually wheels on right.... its pretty ****ing sad whwn a tire shop doesnt know how to do tires

I run into that shit all the time at work. Anything we send out goes to the dealer and they still f shit up and they are supposed to be the best. I'd rather just work my ass off and do it all myself.

They are fixing it today. I did something bitchy and typed up instructions and labels. They literally can't mess it up.

Same shop forgot to put the washers on half my body mounts so it was leaning to one side. They are also fixing that....

They have 4 "ase master techs" but they can't do simple things sometimes :(
