I can't wait to share some updates with you guys. Lots happened over the weekend and this week. And either this Sunday or next this truck should finally be getting it's fitech installed.

Just installed my FITech system,

First impression... meh... It has only been driven like a mile and it seems like it has way less power than the carb did, but my tv may be way out of adjustment and I have a high stall converter so maybe it's just slipping.

@skunked @mrk5 How do you tune these things? I think it idles low and sorta rough.

Maybe I need to look at my timing?

Also didn't notice the 600 kit doesn't have the ac kick up. I'm pissed... I should have purchased the power adder 600
 
First things first, did you go through an properly setup the parameters, what cam setting did you use? Did you properly adjust your IAC? Did you verify the TPS is zeroing out? If the rpm is low is your target rpm set too low?

And if your timing wasn't touched I don't see that being a problem

No sir I haven't adjusted a thing except setting the engine parameters. I selected cam 2 then tried 3. I like 3 better but may go back to 2 because i was instructed to.

Target rpm is set warm rpm set at 800 (where they had it)

How do I adjust the iac and tps? Car running or a setting I do pre start up?

Lol help I'm lost. I have faith it will work I just need it tuned.

Look at the FiTech FB page and they have videos on the IAC adjustment and how those effect TPS. My buddy has to use the cam 4 setting on his ZZ502 so 3 might be right.

Good call on the iac adjustment i watched the video and my system whistles like a turbo so even without looking at it I'm sure that is off. I will play with it later and report back

That's going to help a lot. Once that's figured out drive it around and let it start learning.
 
That air filter isn't helping anything. Does it have an inlet air temp sensor? I imagine that's plenty of warm air getting sucked up.

Yeah it has an intake temp sensor, I need to get a long tube to get the filter off to the side, for the last 10 years this is all I have had lol
