Well you may need to pull some timing with the higher load of the trailer and the hill...

If you never really tweaked the AFR settings in the sniper than they should be on the safe side from holley... 40 total degrees seems steep for the weight and load...

I’m running a Megasquirt that I built a few years ago for the K10 when my buddy had it. I have built and tuned a couple of them over the last decade or so between myself and some friends.

Better pusher fan helped a little off the freeway. Fitech still shows it hit 219... i was averaging about 208 on the freeway.

I am going to move my trans cooler under the truck like i talked about and see if freeing up all that grill space helps any.

I think im also going to get some foam strips and seal the sides of the radiator so air cant leak

Slowely rising ive never waited to see how high it will get. I always do something around 220 mark. Today i hit 219 at a light with the ac on. Averaging around 208 on the freeway with ac on i turned off the ac and started to drive and temps went down to 210ish then i parked it.

I was swapping out for pb. I drove that truck home ac on full blast freeway and city and never went over 200.... maybe i need a stock tbi 350!? ;) jk i wouldnt do that.

Shocking thing is today my trans temps stayed lower than they have ever... i mean under 180 i was almost wondeing if the sensor went bad ;)

Oh and i noticed my mechanical guage typically reads 5 degress less than the fitech,

How old should a kid be before hitting the trails? My son will be 9 months old, think he could ride along on say hells revenge?

It depends on the kid. We took Sawyer when he was 3 months old. Our doc said if he can hold up his head he will be good. Btw our doc had been wheeling in Moab so he actually knew what I was gonna do.

We did go a bit slower over some rough bits and obviously took him out for really rough stuff. Kristle rode in back with him alot too.

So 9 months IMHO is perfectly fine

Driving this today and i lost an alternator belt and noticed a kink in the bypass hose..

This thing still heats up at lights even without ac. Slowly climbs ... once i get driving (no ac) it drops below 210...

Ugh sometimes i hate this truck.

Also will someone take a side shot of their fan so i know i have mine on the right way

the kink is ok, it is a bypass have heard of people not even using one.

The fan is in the right direction. If the truck is heating up at idle it is fan pulling ability. Down the free way and cool means you have enough air movement.
