Holy crap dude was the fan running? Or is the edge of the fan lined with razor blades?

Note to self, the pic of the finger didn't look bad on my phone. But blown up on my laptop it's downright nasty.

Hope it don't hurt too bad!

Electric fan was running it bit it right off. Now that it's not pumped full of stuff from the Dr it looks even worse lol. Still bleeds like crazy if it's not tightly covered with this skin graft sponge stuff. It's nuts. Hurts bad but it happens.

So update on the fitech, wheeling n such.

I'm glad I did the fitech it was nice, reliable and really improved my gas mileage, worth it

Wheeling, it never overheated, it got around 223 and came back down on its own.

Issue with wheeling, so multiple trips to moab with the top off I think has caused some damage. The seams on the back of the cab where the roof meets the body have cracked on both sides and have I have the most annoying squeak INSIDE THE ROOF how does that even happen? Maybe I broke some spot welds holding the two roof panels together???

Bb17 was a blast glad I made it. I'm a little excited that next year I'll be driving the ugly one so I can have a little more fun

has anyone here ever heard of a spot weld or something breaking inside the roof before? I'm not even sure where to start looking for where its squeeking,

I know that hooking a strap from the roof to the floor made it stop but once i have my hard top on i wont be able to do that anymore.

might need to pull all the interior pieces off the roof to find out. or chop it and go full vert.

I removed all the trim, the rubber seal and opened the door (to ensure it wasnt the door rubbung that top corner)
Ok now what?
I was debating spraying expanding foam (low psi version) between the two roof pannels.

The roof is falling apart lol. I threw in a bunch of self tapping screws where I thought I heard the noise so far so good I haven't hear anything yet, I need to actually drive it to see what's up.

Note: do not wheel without top or cage.

I wonder how hard it would be to make it full convertible? I also wonder how much it would cost to obtain the parts and do the work..... insert think face
Best be getting a cage if you go full vert. That body don't have the support that the 73-75's did for the rocker boxes. A cage is the best way to take the stress when the roof is chopped off.

What I don't understand is how you stressed yours now. Many have gone wheeling just like you with the top off and no cage and didn't split the body like that. Hell you weren't the only one at BB that way by the pics. It might be wise to look under the truck for loose body mounts or broken mounts that could let the body and frame start to flex independent from each other.

I had crappy mounts last year. This year they are all brand new poly mounts.
Checked the mounts they look good. Checked the frame it looks good.
Zero rust under the truck.

I think the damage was done over the last few years now I just make it a little worse each time
