Kinda defeats the purpose no?
I'm more worried about a break down. If one of the rigs drops s trans or snaps a driveline I can still get it home. Either truck could tow a dolly but I would only stick a tow bracket on the front of pb.Kinda defeats the purpose no?
Yup and a 35 foot gooseneckBuy a third truck
I can tell you Joey from my own experience. I towed just over 5k lbs with my Jimmy. I towed it about 300 miles.
Yeah I have 6" springs all around that are really stiff and I still run the front sway bar. I would for sure look into a stabilizer hitch. And really good trailer brakes.I have 37s and a 700r4 and no way I'd be happy with anything higher than the 5.13s I have now. The gearing is perfect IMO.
Towing with the crew cab I plan to run air bags in the rear. I have some concern about sway control but I think running the split air system to the bags will counter act that.
To start I'm skipping the bags but I have stiff springs right now. I want to put a softer rear suspension in and that will mandate air bags. Plus I'm only towing a 4000lbs camper. My future dream would be a 2 seat buggy on a light car trailer, so even that will likely be around 4000lbs.
Looks like they make a dolly with brakes....
