The ultimate hood louvers. haha

I still don't understand how you guys have heating problems with a radiator bigger than what I can put in my '70. Even with the A/C I haven't had problems with it since I installed the Edelbrock water pump. I am not trying to say that you guys have to get one, I am just baffled by my "little " radiator cooling my 462.
I wish that I had some help for you.
No, but @mrk5 has a stock converter, and a bigger radiator than you do.Are you running efi?
Or a stall converter?
So do you think that the stall converter, combined with the Fitech, is more than your big radiator can deal with? I remembered about your pump, which is why I don't understand why the big radiator won't work better.Im reading a lot more about people putting on these throttle body kits and running into heating issues. Some people are saying you need to mess with timing and richen them up a little to bring temps down.
And im talking both fitech and Holley.
A handful of guys throw the carbs back on and magically they run cool again. (No guarentee thats the issue but its a thought)
I upgraded to the Stewart pump and thermostat that is rated the same as the edlebrock, zero change.

I'm only running a TBI 350, but 4 core radiator, stock water pump, A/C, trans cooler, power steering cooler, stock shroud, vortec 11 blade fan, 195 thermostat. 202 degrees water temp, with 100 degrees air temp, with A/C on wheeling in Moab.View attachment 270120 View attachment 270121
I do wonder if i am going to need to start making any cooling upgrades to my other rig with a tbi350
i am 100% onboard with this thought. I need to get a new timing light... some jerk broke mineI think it's in the timing

I am just reading a ton about the efi systems making things run hot. it could be that its leaner it could be a few things. its hard to tell..
I just set it to 13.9 haven't driven itChange the target A/F, that’s the quickest and easiest thing you can do.
I don't get it either. It's frustrating as hell.I still don't understand how you guys have heating problems with a radiator bigger than what I can put in my '70. I'm not to up on AFR, would we want to set a higher or lower number?Change the target A/F, that’s the quickest and easiest thing you can do.
lower means richer. go lowerI don't get it either. It's frustrating as hell.
