I ran the windstars as pullers in place of the mechanical fan.
now im running a pusher in front
Wasn't sure which way you went before. But still, a pusher up front with the fan on backwards is no bueno.

Right, I guess it would have to be backwards and reverse rotation for that to happen.....

Sad to report flipping the fan didnt do anything :(

I did have an ah ha moment though...

At first i was driving for maybe 20 mins and my temps looked great. Kept cool even at lights with the ac on.

I noticed as my trans temps went up and the trans fan kicked on my engine temps climbed.

Might make sense... if i have my trans cooler blowing 200 degree plus air on half of my condenser and radiator im sure thats not helping. (Keep in mind i have that air gap)

I will be moving my trans cooler out of the grill as soon as i have free time.

I still dont think this is the huge issue but it will help.

I also think i need to advance the timing a hair. (I increased fuel at idle and upped my idle rpm and that didnt help any either sitting at an afr of 13 at idle)

I'm confused is this the one running at 210? Is so, don't worry about it.

This one also runs around 210 but likes to climb over 220 as high as 230 at lights. (I aways do something starting at 220 to try to bring temps down.
It also goes from 206 to 226 in less than 3 mins.

Lots of tinkering to be done on this one....

Step 1. Move the trans cooler.

Step 2. Heater on high at lights.....

:haha:

I'm working on a cooling upgrade (I hope) with junkyard parts. I'll post results in my thread but I'm probably a couple weeks away from finishing.

I have the big ass 454 brass 4 core radiator but i heard rumor there is an even bigger drop in option? Know anything about that?

The diesel one is the next biggest and it drops in.
I actually think i own a diesel radiator i just didnt stick it in because it didnt have a place to attach my heater hoses...
I may look into swapping that eventually... id just need a different shroud right?

Hmmmm i wonder where i could source that other than a junkyard....

I guess if i went that direction i could use the 454 top plate and such on my other rig when i want to upgrade.
