I hate our version of the IRS. Ugly organization.

If it makes you feel better about tire rotation, for the first 5 years of my driving career I never changed the oil in any of my daily drivers. I changed the engine instead. :doah:
 
I usually don't have em long enough to think about it... never seen a need to rotate them. these I just did to see if I notice anything because everyone says to do it:dunno: and I already had it on jack stands in the front and an impact in my hand so why not:D
 
since I sold the 5.3 I need to address a very possible head gasket leak that ive been driving through. In the process of tearing it down to that point I figured I'd do a cam swap/reprogram at the same time. ive already done MOST of the tbi mods but ill finish that too. so between the 3 different things it should be cheap enough and get me at least a little more power than I have.

I still have to search here but Ive heard the comp cams 4x4 cam works ok with the tbi system. is that a good one..? and theres a website guys here go too that deals with these 350tbis a lot.... does anyone know what that is?
 
I was thinking about talking to eaglemark on here for the chip... I found the threads on here about cams too. it'll be a slow process but ill get there:rolleyes:
 
Mark will help you but you will have to collect data first. So you will need an aldl cable and computer.
 
ah... I have a laptop... id have to get the other stuff though.
 
All you need is the cable and the free program. Pay shipping back and forth and I'll let you borrow mine.
 
what kind of cable and how do i find the free program...:D then ill have my own for future use:waytogo:
 
Go check out the injection section lots of info there. I'd suggest pulling the ECM to find the number the. We can guide you to the right adapter
 
cables can be had on amazon for around $15 it looks like. ill check in the injection section and see if I can find more out.

I don't think you can buy one that cheap I know you can build one for about that. I can build you one for that as long as you have a 1227747 ECM and not. Newer 160 baud ECM
 
oh... I just pasted 'aldl cable' over to amazon and a bunch came up... didn't realize there were different ones.
 
Yah I tried that too. Some ecm's require a 10k resistor across two pins to enable aldl output. Find your ECM number and we can guide you to the right cable.
 
wheres the ecm at?

tomorrow im going to put my steering stabilizer in. why'll im at it I'll find it and see what one I have
 
It died on me again :doah: drivin down the road and just quit :dunno: im gonna replace that accel ignition module first and go from there
