Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

They can run, but not make the needed pressure for the engine to start. I had one thst sounded normal while the sending unit was in the tank, but after pulling the sending unit, you could hear it was toast. That was in a TBI 350 truck too.

I fixed it today... I didn't use the Camaro one cause it was an inch shorter than the stock one and wouldn't fit the hanger thing without a longer rubber hose... I didn't have time to go searching for submersible hose so I took the Camaro one back for the Delphi factory replacement. I also found out that my whole in tank part was bent like crazy...:dunno: I don't remember it being bent that way before.... but I cant think of how it would happen in the tank. It was bent at a 30* angle and is supposed to be straight up and down. didn't get pics due to gas in the eyes when I pulled the float out  :doah: felt great :haha:

That's weird because my fuel pump/sending unit assembly was bent like that too.:dunno:

I can't for the life of me figure out how in the hell it got that way either.

only thing I can think of is the force of that much gas sloshing:dunno: like I said, I know it wasn't that way 2 years ago.

That may be because there's no dents in the bottom of my tank so there's no other way it could have happened. With the pick-up bent like that, my gauge was way off too. When it read 1/8 tank, it was actually just under 1/2 full. That was a surprise when I went to drop that beast of a tank down. :eek1:

Almost blew out my O-ring when it came down on me....:doah:

:haha::haha: yeah that would be a surprise.... Mine was off for a long time, enough that when my gauge said empty it only took 26 gallons to fill my 40 gal tank. which is how I ran it out:rolleyes: I knew it had JUST reached empty.... so I went ahead and did a dump run... guess it was lower than I thought:haha:

getting back to the stereo now... hopefully be able to get quite a ways on it this week. I should be able to get the sub in the box, get the kick pods fiberglassed, and get the amp in. with any luck I can get the center console mounted to hide the amp too. I still have to do some work on it before it can be permanent mounted

im hoping:popcorn:

still haven't gotten to the kickpods but the sub is in(not finished but playin). I have a big garage heater now so I can start on the pods.

oh yeah... I have a 5.3 on the way:D

Sweet burb. I can't wait to see more. I just picked up a 90 with a conversion similar to yours. I'm hoping to start modding it and making it my own soon. Have a great new year.

thank you, im hoping to get back on it soon... kids truck has taken all my time and cash lately

just now painting and getting ready to install my new ORD 1.25" tie rod and ends. plus I picked up the steering stabilizer. that will all be going in in the next few days. plus ive gone back and started reading all the 5.3 swap threads that ive kept subscribed too. getting ready for the big swap.:waytogo: bout friggin time:rolleyes: stereo stuff is on hold till warmer weather so I can have the garage open for fiberglassing. hoping to get some axle stuff started this year also. keep watching :thumb:

Im just getting ready to start on the 5.3 and was gonna take a loan out against it this year to build the axles...... now I find out I owe $5300 to the gubment:doah: and im going to have to take a loan out against it to pay my freakin taxes. :dunno: cant see any other way to do it. I may even have to sell the 5.3 to help pay the loan off..

this friggin blows

changed jobs, sold out of my 401k entirely, misunderstood the things I was told, ( I was told that the check I would receive would be AFTER all taxes AND penalties were paid. BY 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE at the 401k place) ...... the penalty part wasn't paid as they told me.... I even specifically asked each of them if I needed to hold money back for anything.... all said no. penalties would be paid before I received a check... I went back and relooked the check stub over after getting taxes done..... the penalty wasn't taken:doah: I missed it, so im boned:dunno: oh well, live and learn

Yea I just found out I owe 8500$ to the IRS as well, and they wanted it in one payment :haha: . I am about to be working as a male escort to make ends meet, and I laughed so much in their ear they hung up on me. I cant even afford new brake pads on my car, much less 8500$ in one check. I feel your pain, good luck friend.

im just lucky I have equity in something so I CAN pay them. Whats ironic and funny about this is I used that 401k money to pay off my burb in the first place:rolleyes: comes around, goes around :haha:

What the heck is up with this stuff? I just got a letter from the Ohio State attorney that I owe them $274from 2002. Man I feel for you guys I made arrangement to send them $5.00 a month. Try payments.... :dunno:
