Matt, you need to check your compass. No way is it 6 hours. I am only 3 from it here in Killeen and you're an hour south of me on I-35. Think you need to check it again, mah boy!

then again i do get my license someday in april and i can get my lil burb running in tip top shape i think. idk. sounds tempting.:crazy:
 
hey guys...ive been there like 100 times...its bad ass....also the closest hotel is like 50 miles away....the clostest beer store is like 60 miles away...if you want to drink and drive this is the place to go beacuse u can do it...there are like 8 yr olds drinking beer riding 4-wheelers...they also have a tank thing and a school bus monster truck thing and like 6 wheel drive buggy things...and 4 wheelers and golf carts bigger than some of ur guys's trucks...anyway...i will be there...only guy with a rebel flag on the tailgate....they do have some ****tty showers and pots...somtimes you get hot water somtimes you dont...they have everything from sand dunes to mud to rocks and trails.....here are some pictures i hope they work...if yall have any questions hit me up....and it is like 3 1/2 hours from killeen, manny...i tried to get u to come with me and nick and daniel last time and ur truck was still out of commission....the road has an assload of hills and curves so it slows you down if your pullin a trailer...

I have been talking with Manny about just this sort of thing. We started this post to kinda get a head count of who wanted to go in case we need to reserve an area.
 
the only spots you can "reserve" are the ones with water and/or electricity. and it is 1/4 of a powerpole. there is enough room for mabey 2 or 3 folks with there trucks and tow rigs and tents and ****...but if you dont need water and electricity then you can camp pretty much where ever you want...there is waayyy too much open space to run out of room to camp...but electricity and water cost money soo...its up to you guys....i will not get a pole again becuase last time i did me and my whole group got screwed by the other people that rented the pole...see one power pole has 4 outlets and 4 water hookups...so the pole is divided into 4 quarters...i bought 2 last time so i had the entire half side of the pole...well someone reserved 2 and had the other half of the pole but they took up the entire pole...so i had to run an extension cord like 75 ft out to an open spot where i could camp....**** that....i blew like 60 bucks for nothin....not worth it to me...not unless you are bringin a travel trailer...soo in conclusions there is no need to reserve a spot unless you are bringing a travel trailer or motorhome ect...
 
Family Event???

Anybody here take kids? I'm bringing my wife and girls(age's 6 and 3). If this turns out to be some kind of Redneck/Girls Gone Wild weekends, that'll be the end of my professional offroad career. We get enough of that stuff at my Family Reunions.:D

man i just realized that is a LONG way away from here.
im wondering if towing would be a possiblity..... hmmmm....
i dont really have anything to pull it with.. or on.. so maybe not.
we planning on frequent stops for this s.a. austin san marcus
caravan? lol. ive never pushed it past about an hour of highway
driving. and that is how it sat on 33's. it could have gone
farther.. but with the 39.5's im not so sure.

I Have never been there but from what iv heard and read on there website, i think they have wet T-shirt contests. My friend knows somebody that went to an event out there and some drunk guy on an atv ran over there tent while they were in it, but i dont think any body got hurt.

Hey Mickey!

Yeah, I'm sorry that I couldn't come. My truck would have been able to run, but I couldn't take a chance with the 10 bolts. They were sold already and with the HP my 383 puts out, well, you know the drill.

Yes, I'm toying with towing a camper. I don't know yet. Small one, so the hills should not be an issue. I don't know yet. I may also just bring a tent, sleepin' bag and the camping crap. Either way, I will sink my new boots into some of that MUD and show NICK how it's done! haha

Sorry you missed the build up this weekend. I asked about you several times, but to no avail.

i didnt know you had asked me manny...nick asked me a while back but then you had some problems getting ur truck back from jenkes i guess....anyway if you need some help lemme know im on vacation till the middle of march

Playing phone tag with Shiloh Ridge

Hey Y'all,

I'm playing phone tag with Shiloh Ridge to get the details and set up a camping reservation for us. I'm estimating 20 trucks, but I really need a head count. If you are going, or are 90% sure you are, answer up so I can give an honest count. It may help.

yea miscommunication....im 99% sure ill be goin for the truck rodeo...is nick goin or he may be deployed by then or what? you towin ur truck or drivin it?
