Crew cab. Use it or lose it.

Looks great Kert! Although I must say its weird to see a pic in the lot with that blue POS not sitting in the backround immobile.

Kert, where did you get the rear fender clearance lamp lenses from?

Your rig is killer, d00d! If I don't find a dually crewcab, I may swap my SRW bed and axle to a dually version.

Keep up the good work!

I can't find a crewcab sw here to save my life, I have seen a few drw's though.

Awesome build Kurt, it really looks stealthy :D

Got them from LMC. pretty affordable really.

Thanks!

I've heard mixed reports on mileage from the big caddilacs. I guess will soon know.

It takes up a hair more space than a tool box.

Fuel is currently $2.48 per over here. It would have been nice to have been this far along when it was under $2.

My blazer gets about 14 with a 500 and 3.90's with 35 inch tires. The short block is stock but the heads have some work (not a lot) done to them. But it will burn pump pee 87 just fine:wink1:

That's encouraging!

Well, it finally made the drive home.

Got the transfer case rebuilt and have some rear drive shaft issues to sort out so I'm drove it home in front wheel drive.

Outside of that, it's squared away. Now I find my self wishing I had held out for the 37" hummer radials rather than the bias plys. Takes a few miles to smooth out 6 of them damn things!:haha:

I take it the rear shaft was definitely the issue then? How's it drive when it's not shaking you to death? Oh yeah, congrats, wish I would have stayed today to see it. :waytogo:

I can get them up here for $125 ea with 95% + tread... then there is the $100 dollar man in CA that sells them for $100 ea in the same condition.

Mikey,

Drove pretty good on front wheel drive. There may be some inherent noise with the tcase mount I'm using but other than that it drove pretty nice. I think getting a headliner, door tracks and headliner in it will all help as well.

Kennyw,

I see them from time to time pretty reasonable. Should have been jumping on them the whole time. The bias plys straighten out eventually, I think the radials will be better all the way around though. If ya see any smokin' deals, let me know!

Dual headliners eh? :haha:

I think it'll quiet down quite a bit once the interior is complete and not just a tin can to resonate every little noise.

Ummm, I think that was supposed to say door panels.

Last time I checked with him he was willing to ship if you set it up. The radials run a lot better than the bias ply tires. I have them on my '83 and love them for a tow rig. They actually did good going across country last month as well.

Probably better call him and get some weights and such.

These look interesting as well...
