This here screwdriver has dedicated its life to being a spindle bearing removal tool. Straight hits to the bearing and the bend of the screwdriver sits on the spindle wall. No deflection.

I don't think that screwdriver could take the hits I was delivering that prybar last night. I did scrape the walls a little behind one of the races in the hub. Probably just hone it somehow and it good?
This is the spindle bearing tool I was talking about. I believe Lisle Tools was the actual manufacturer but I got mine off of a Snap On truck, the guy sold it to me at cost because neither he or anyone that came on his truck knew what it was so he wanted it gone.
I just looked out of curiosity and there’s one on eBay right now.

I've gotten no where with the spindle bearing so far. So I went and got the wheel bearing off. It didn't want to but I convinced it. I cleaned it up a little with some steel wool. Now I'm concerned that a new seal won't seal this spindle. If I clean it up real real good will it seal? I'd like to prevent this from happening again.
It’s not pretty but file down the marks, once smooth you can put a seal saver sleeve on it. CR brand makes sleeves, not sure where else but Motion Industries sells them.

New seals are different from old ones. A lot tighter on the spindle. I think I will move forward with what I got for now.
Isnt this just a rock crawler? Keep it out of the water and that seal will be fine.

Shoot now I guess I need to know how to measure for the right depth on the new spindle bearings. Anyone?
I always install them until the bearings depth makes the seal flush with the top of the hole.
