Deulings 1985 K5 Blazer, --aka Borderline Obnoxious; Silver Lake pics and Vids

Yah but this was free lol. I like free haha. And I didnt have any trouble with the washer, slid right on to the little tabby dodad first try:thumb: I was surprised actually.

Well last night after the paintball party I went down to get the truck (my dad hasn't seen it runnin with the new motor) when I got back my dad was standin their full smile lol. He hopped in it he had a few so he didn't wanna take it down the road so he drove it into the front yard and with a big grin he let her rip and tore two nice trenches right through the lawn lol. He drove it up to the driveway and parked it, got out and said wow, I dont need to drive that anymore that's too much lol:woot:

ahahahahahaha

my dad did that with my quad once, then said it was too much and hasn't ridden it since ahaha He will stick with his warrior :)

Haha hey man dont be hatin on the warrior:flipoff7: lol

Yah it was too dark to get any video action, ill try to snag a pic of the nice trenches tomorrow lol.

Oh and tomorrow ill get to do that other wheel bearing, try to figure out why the eff my speedometer stopped working... worked the other day when I moved it, musta bumped something messing with that shifter linkage. Also i gotta shorten my top rad hose, and check the oil pan bolts once again, and I should be good to go.

It no start :(...

Nothing happens when I turn the key... New starter, didnt touch anything wire related from last time I started it 2 days ago... :dunno:

Check your grounds. I bet if you wriggle the batt leads or take em off and put back on it will fire

Cab lights and turn signals all work... Everythings on, starter wires are tight... Weird. Not even a click from the starter

When the lights are on and you hit the key do they dim? Try starting it with the wheel tilted in a different spot.

some starters have 2 little screw studs. 1 is trigger for starter. other is old schoole left over 12v supply to coil for starting on old points dist system.

mabye you got trigger wire hooked up on wrong stud. ?

and starter takes a lot more to work right than just lights.

like said start simple and check batt volts . then go from there.

Yah I just thought it was weird because it started fine before and I mean the starter won't even click. Ugh, it's too hot and humid for this crap lol

not being a pita but lots of guys/mechanics waste lots of time thinking comp stuff is bad when its a volts problem or blown fuse.

seen it a lot and even done it a few times my self. :doah:

Took battery cables off a few times. Didn't want the starter to go for some reason while checking it for loose connections

if ALL other electrical compenents are working BUT the starter, then either jiggle the trans shifter for a nuetral saftey fault, or tap the starter a few times with a hammer. If all else fails pull the starter and have it tested.

jiggle the trans shifter for a nuetral saftey fault

That's what I say, I am thinking after changing everything maybe the shifter is a little outof adjustment and the neutral safety switch is a little out of adjustment, hold the key in the start position while moving the shift lever around some to test that idea. Or use a screwdriver(or piece of metal, be careful of moving parts when you do it) to jump the solenoid start wire to the positive cable if you want to test your solenoid and everything leading up to it.

I try jumping it to eliminate if its the starter or not then work from their. If it is the starter ill at least get a new free one with that nice new starter whirl everybody loves lol
