Ahh yes, the only conclusion must be that I am pregnant...
Got it back. They couldnt get the mufflers a ton higher because of the tailpipes hitting the gas tank, but they are higher than before and the pipe is going above the cross member. The tailpipes got lowered a little but I can fix that. Sits looks way better and mellowed out the exhaust so its much nicer to ride in. Less tractor sound, more good sound

My Jimmy used to be a Diesel with factory duals, and how GM did it was to angle the mufflers up and over the rear axle. That tucks them up and completely out of the way. So if you think you are still to low, that's an idea for ya.

I think its good now. Only low spots are the mufflers but they are much better than before. They are higher than the tcase guard and the pig and ill only climb sand and i was just worried about the middle bottoming out on a peaked hill. But thats all tucked up safely over the x member now. Im happy with it. I spent 100 bucks and they custom made both pipes from mufflers forward. Unfortunately not mandral bends but for that price its fine. I want to order summits h pipe kit now. Only 40 bucks or so.
Overall im pretty happy, I now have a very sturdy exhaust that may not look the best but for having only $180 bucks into 2.5" pipe and headers and another $120 into stainless mufflers, its a pretty nice exhaust for the price.

Seems like alot of people stopped following, prolly cuz my progress is so small and takes so long compared to others. But its always nice to get a compliment every now and then. Gotta price out college books tomorrow
so prolly not too much big progress for a while lol.

I think it looks a lot better, but the rear portion still looks hack. When the suspension compresses the mufflers are going to stick down further than the pumpkin, let along the axle tubes.
But it's definitely an improvement, you are always improving it, and that's what matters. How is the new engine running now? Are you happy with it?
You've done a lot of work and it's a nice ride. You've probably learned a lot too since the days of attaching red "ground" wires to rubber actuators. Keep it up Adam.
One question, are the mufflers high enough now that you can slide under them on the yoga mat?

Haha i like the red ground wire bit heath lol. Yup its runnin great. Having the exhaust all welded and leak free i noticed a considerable increase in response and a nice drop in rpms at cruising speed. It just feels better every time i drive it. And heath theirs plenty of room for the yoga mat but the way you drive up there i think your the one thats gonna need it

thanks man! slowly but surely. Gotta go get college books today or tomorrow so their goes my tranny build. Any body know of a good shift kit thats easy to install for a newbie? also priced low enough for a broke college student? lol. Might be able to make it last a little longer. Shifts are mega smooth unfortunatly
transgo is the best shift kit out there, a little more but worth it.
Alright thanks. Ill look into it. If its too much i may go a cheaper route for a temp fix and get a good one when i build the tranny. Just need somethin to build more pressure. How much time would it take a noob to do one?
