That's all turning out super nice!

If you could get guys to pay for the work I think you could have a great side business! :waytogo: Of course I guess you would have to rent the shop and tools so maybe not. But anyways Great job Adam! :thumb:

Thats the plan. Me and Brett were discussing it yesterday. Just need to find people that actually want to pay up some cash.

I got a guy messaging me the other day, talking about how he loved the cage. Wants me to build him one tied to his frame for his Geo Tracker. I asked him what he was looking to spend. He said he wouldnt want to go much over $200.

I laughed and told him ill bend him a hoop and weld some floor plates to it for $200. :haha:

We gotta find the guy with a fat wallet thats up at the dunes looking for toys :D

Shouldn't be that hard to find after seeing the pictures of the rigs up there, looks like more than a few guys got some cash! Good luck!

Cant really blame a guy only wanting to spend $200 on a tracker. That's like twice what the car is worth.

Works out to standard k5 math.... spend 2 g's on a blazer and put $4000 into it.

Or buy one for $700, sink $10K into it...

Heck, you guys are doing it wrong. I have gotten two blazers and have had both pay for themselves plus some. One i bought for parts for $1,500 and am up to $2,300 in sold items with me keeping the bedsides and floor pans. The project truck I am working on now I bought for $1,000 and sold everything except for the frame and body for $1,500 so I got a free frame, body, & $500 cash out of that deal. Now, there has been a lot of money going back into that one but it's pretty much a start from scratch build.

Sounds like you have some sort of sad k5 junkyard where Blazers go to die.

Good job Adam! Pretty happy with the seat height and position it looks like huh?

They are not bolted in, i just set them there. But yah it should be killer :thumb:

Yah I paid $2500 for mine, and then literally replaced everything. And then other things.... I dont even want to think about what i have into it lol. I remember counting 10k up about a year ago. And Ive done lots more $$$$ things this last year :haha:

Dont let this fool you. I have like 4 hours into these little bastards. I kept screwing them up, drilling holes in wrong spots, cutting too short, etc. I prolly shouldnt have had those 4 shop beers for breakfast

7.5" total travel. 4" back, 3.5" forward from center location.

And then i was sick of seat slidy thingys. So I played around with spare tire and co2 tank locations. Tire wont fit running front to back, and standing up sideways is too tall and I cant see out the back. So I settled on this. Im getting rid of monster toolbox and downsizing tools alot.

Oh, and my fortune cookie that i had in the shop from my leftovers had this in it :haha:

I was referring to your speakers on the cage.

Also is there going to be room for the cooler? (Priorities)

Well i just realized today that my fancy hoopy seat mount wont allow me to use the stock center console, so I guess im making a new one, with a lock box, maybe room for a winters shifter, and other fun things possibly

Once I get seats in, ill have a box cut and bent at work. :D

You had me til the Star Wars turbo space pod speaker things...

Did you use uni-strut for the seat mounts? Looks like it at least.

Yah, not slotted strut. I wanted square stock but couldnt find any laying around.

Wings need to be added to the speaker pods as well as red/orange/yellow fabric to simulate flames. Oh! and BIG red button on the dash that you push as you launch it off some sweet jumps

Thanks. I really dig it too. I must have over did myself though. I slept through my alarm today and was an hour late to work :doah:

So i took a break tonight, relaxed, made a good dinner. Try and get to bed at a decent time. I feel like ive been working on it every chance I got everyday for 2 weeks.... Oh wait I have :haha:

This is making my cage look like crap-o-la:doah: Hea just some food for thought, what you doing for B-pillar behind the seat stuff? Reason I ask is how you ever gona take out the rear bench? Maybe make that bar right behind it removable so it still slides out the back:dunno:
