And also, i doubt you will ever notice the difference in the lower energy of the premium fuel and it can prevent detonation when you have a hot engine at low RPM in low load with a lot of timing. If you don't need it, its a waste of money, but I doubt you will ever notice the power loss, its is extremely minimal. You could run more timing with premium fuel, but it may not make any more power if the engine doesn't need any more timing. I would say with the way you use your truck, you might be a little safer using the premium, especially after what just happened.

I would agree. I just like to tell people that, because so many people think higher octane fuel increases your horsepower. It does no such thing. It only allows you to modify your engine in ways that will let it take advantage of the extra octane.

WAY too many people still think adding some 110 to their bone stock engine makes it run better......

Are you saying if I run premium fuel and splitfire spark plugs I don't get 50 more hp? Son of a #!^@#!

Good to hear!

It runs amazing too so that's a plus.

I found I have an oil leak at the fuel pump block mount area, and the fan likes to blow the oil onto the header. Gonna remove it tomorrow and seal it back up.

Wasn't worried though as when my oil pressure line blew last summer in the dunes and dumped qts of Royal purple oil on the headers, it didn't catch on fire. So I just kept running it and got to the beach :)

I needed this. I took out alot of aggression on it today, and still made it home just fine. Blew the front cv, but it was still the stock one with the plastic injection on the joints, so id say all in all good day :D

Dad even brought the burb in, which hasnt happened in forever

I also decided im never putting the hood back on... :D

Rig is looking great man! How's the new sound system working out?

Its decent. Something went funky on the way home and they both started sounding all funky. Im thinking its a wire or something. Or they both blew at the same time :dunno:

Sooo how'd the new suspension work???

Fecking sweet.

Needs more rebound in the rear still, but it kills it compared to before.

Quote of the day was when my dad rode shotty. Running halfway fast and he goes "Those whoops look pretty big!!!" and I replied with "Yup!!!" and smashed the skinny and it was butter :D

I have a whole new view of the sand now. It is still not wades rig by any means, but man I have way more confidence to look at a nasty line and just hit it instead of hitting the brake pedal.
