Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

I didn't ride in it when it was just one person. I bailed because richard was getting the snot beat out of him in the back. SBD messed with shock tuning, and he has a bit to go to get it dialed. Adams still hits the bumpstops just not as hard as sbd. Adams rig flat out works awesome in the dunes, he just has to slow down a bit for the big whoops, while nate speeds up.

After all these years I thought you would have made sure you got a ride.

I was having too much fun running with him! Lol

Unless it's a 4 seat long travel car with a twin turbo LS engine, yeah, rails are boring.

I'll rephrase.

They are a lot of fun, but they are boring to look at unless it's like a funco car.

My vote: Keep the Blazer a working rig. Papa Smurf took over a year to roll out of the garage. Build something sweet, and still have the Blazer to play with until you're done! If you need to part the Blazer to fund the last few thousand of your build, do it, but don't start with that step. Plenty of rust free Truck cabs out there, but I think starting with a K5 cab would be a great idea.

Rails are boring. Everybody has one.

Its getting to the point where everyone has some type of prerunner too.

I dig the k5 cause its a go fast rig with solid axles and leaf springs on stock frame with full body. Thats what makes it so cool and unique. Plus you built it yourself. How many full bodied solid axle leaf spring trucks do you see be able to jump and take whoops and come back for more. Thats impressive but thats just my 2 cents.

When I'm ready to run something else besides the crew cab on the trails, I'm probably going to look at a side by side. Then I can still haul it with the crew cab but do some different stuff.

Don't know if I added much to your discussion, but that's kind of my "evolution" plan.
