Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

This might sound strange but what about height adjustment?

Was thinking I could always shim the whole assembly up if necessary from the halo tube.

I'm not building it for other people to drive, but most of my friends are my height anyways. Front to back allows me to change from relax driving down the road, to RACEBLAZERMODE

Just occurred to me if you didn't weld that halo solid in the middle you could have the passenger seat telescope outside of the door so I could get my **s in the seat easier for my ride. Right Dave doesn't that sound like a plan?

Haha that's great tony. Totally could have done long pieces of 1.5" welded only to the outer small hoop, and have it slide in and lock via pull pins.

Itd be like the poor mans version of your suburban :thumb:

RACEBLAZERMODE

This is when Deuling turns his hat backwards and leans over the steering wheel like an angry mom in the drivers seat of a minivan who hasn't had a cup of coffee yet.

Oh I have a lot of poor man designs in my head. Hell I would love to redo some of the things about my suburban but it is what it is.

Cage looks great and I've learned something too about cage design. I'm glad the guys said something for my learning curve.

Totally agree, Adam should incorporate that!

Have you ever seen his rig run in person? I would hold off the trash talking until you do. Wade is allowed to because he has seen it run, and has met Adam in person. Maybe it's just me but you should meet a person before you can start giving them crap.

No I have not, but we're poking fun. I'm sure at this point both these guys understand my position and know what mean. I am actually shocked that you brought that up on an Internet forum.

Oh and it's highly possible that I'll never get the chance to meet them. So I "know" them on the inter webs...

Sometimes this is the weirdest build thread ever...

I think that means he's doing it right. :P

You should read the thread over. It's 280 pages now.. I didn't get that way without the awesome stuff I added to it. I don't see you chastising the others "ribbing Adam" .. Seems like you need a beer.
