I wouldn't waste any time on 4.8 or a 5.3 those are girl motors lol if your in there might as well swap a 6.2??? Better heads pretty much better everything..

Hey man, I would have loved to do an LQ9 6L in my blazer but they are about 3-4 times the cost of a comparable 5.3 and when I crunched the numbers the HP/$ was WAY better with the 5.3 and I will still be up at around 330HP without going to a different cam, injectors, etc.

But I think on this one you got it right.

Just make sure when you do a LS swap you get a 5.3 instead of a 4.8 cuz it's pointless to do a 4.8 for the money :pimp::popcorn:

That I agree with tho. Having a build where the truck was down for 2 years taught me to always keep it drivable as much as possible. That was one of the reasons I had so much more fun with my k20.
 
I just own 6 vehicles. If I have to I will cruise the river in my k10 or dd a k30, well or a 10 second camaro.

But in seriousness can we get this build back on topic. Whats the update on when heads will be done. Got any sort of timeline till being running again?
 
Hoping they will be done tomorrow. Craig will pick them up if so and I'll pay Craig.
 
chalk it all up to learning Adam, I'm still puzzled why you couldn't get that JET carb figured out, I think it would have been the balls for your engine.
 
Whacking the heads wouldn't change anything except the bill from the machine shop, and even that would be negligible.

Got the heads back today. And got to open lots of boxes :D

The did all need new valve guides... So i spent more than I had thought, but they are good to go now. So oh well.
