Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

I've only been out wheelin twice this year. That makes me sad. You sir, have been a poo ton. That has to make you much happy.

Yeah.

Blazer works goooood (freiburger voice)

Need to rip all the shocks out this winter and go through them. New fluid, lots more rebound valving, and probably do all the seals.

I suspect the transmission will die next. But it keeps on ticking and shifting well, so who knows. 2wd has been hard on it though.

It's funny how at some point working on trucks is as fun as driving them.

Oh no, I don't want to touch the blazer haha. I want to get some hot rods in the shop and do lots of panel work.

I am past the point where I enjoy working on it anymore. Maintenance is enough, with using almost a whole tube of grease before every trip. Its surprising how long that makes parts last though.

I like the planning, building, driving about equal.

I was talking to Sweaty a couple weeks ago at Rausch, I told him I'm going to have to see what all this driving in sand is all about....So it sounds like there will be a convoy heading your way next summer.

I enjoy it.

Its a big fun family up there too once you get to know all the regulars.
That's good to hear. The only major sand area we have in Utah is full of douchebags. :( I used to go regularly but I quit. It got tiring watching out for idiots coming roaring over a hill without knowing what was on the other side, people that might mow down your kids rather than slow down around the camping area, and having to have someone stay awake all night to make sure your stuff didn't get stolen. Gave me a bad taste in my mouth for 'sand people'.

I love those methods.. it woulda been those had I not found the deal on the kmc's and I'm with Adam, I hate fixing crap.. building is fun for a while but driving and jumping and roosting is funner..

I could fix that for you....

-The large hills are directional here.
-No camping or overnight
-No alcohol

Those three factors diminish the majority of your issues with sand people lol.

The camping would be fun though.

I like it! I think it looks clean as hell, somehow the bumper and the tires all tie in to give ya that indication something isn't normal... plus the hubcaps.. who doesn't like hubcaps lol

Innovative Balancing beads work great. Used them in a bunch of my tires.

Used airsoft BB's in the 38" Michelins on Big Ugly. Rolled true and vibration free.

Consider some beads. Works great and they self adjust.
