Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

I see your point from a practical get-the-car-done angle, but I remain convinced that relationships (romantic and otherwise) are important if one wants to have a balanced life.

Just look at how much I've gotten done on my truck since getting married! I...err...umm...think I've changed oil at least once since then. :wink1: :haha: :rotfl:

Yeah I'm not saying not to have a lady. But if he's gonna spend most of the winter in the shop, it's just as unfair to her as her spending all of the winter in a gym.
Point is now he can focus on happy time in the shop instead of worrying about splitting time.

The shop is the only place worth being anyway. So tool. Much wow.

Adam, your life might not be better off this way, but your beadrolling artwork probably will be. :D

"Women come and go. But a man can depend on a truck."
Ive had FAR more trucks than women...... maybe I'm doing something wrong:thinking:.....

NOPE :thumb:

Longest I've ever had a woman was the 3 years with my current one.... my burbs been here through this girl, the one before her, and a date or 2 before them.

Sounds like your doing ok with it Adam, focus on this amazing skill set and business youve built and let the next girl that wants in work around YOU and your goings on..... if she can hang with it then that's the one, if not there will be another:waytogo:
Your young, have a badass truck, a good job, your own business that you enjoy doing, and a massive network of friends.......
You have everything thing you need:D

Awesome pics and your art is fantastic! :thumb:

Sorry about the chick for you....you got lots of great friends and family, you will be fine.

I dropped off her stuff to her mom.

Her mom gave me my Christmas present. Canvas portrait.

We both lost our shit.

Spent the night with Nate in the shop. Feel much better now.

I know what you meant.

I was being an ass.

I will be good. This one taught me to never invest all you have into someone that does not show you the same effort.
Words and texts and notes saying nice things, do not necessarily mean those things are real. It's easy to write out a few words to make someone feel good. Actually being an adult and showing it, is a much different thing.

Probably the biggest lesson I learned.

Oh, and put your focking phone down as often as you can. :)

I wish more people put their phone down. I'm guilty of it at certain times but when in public with people or spending time with someone I don't. It's only when I'm alone by myself or at work like this Saturday haha.

Came across this today. Much has changed.

Any recent updates?

Its shoved in the back of the shop right now. I need motivation.
Currently fab tools and making money for that has been higher on the motivation list.

Ill get to it. I just need a good solid weekend to get the engine and trans and tcase pulled. Assess the damage, and see where im going.

Will be nice to clean up the engine bay, weld some more stuff in that I wanted, and fix some other things while Im at it.
-Engine cage tie bar through fire wall into A pillars is a big one. Pull the windshield, add some more gussets to the cage. I don't like how square everything is in the cab area. Id like to add some corner gussets all over.
-Pull all the shocks off and do an oil change and add alot more rebound valving. See if I can try to maybe keep up with nate a tiny bit.
-Rebuild/reseal tcase

These are the maybes if I have money and time.
-If funds allow, new clutch packs in trans.
-Rip front axle apart and figure out why my no slip locker quit locking both axles in... I got stuck twice this summer in 2wd, put it in 4, and only 1 front tire would spin...
