DJz Blazer

Doing a 5.3 swap on my '90 Blazer I rapidly came to the conclusion the best money I was going to spend on my Blazer was replacing every single fuel and brake line. I figured stainless steel line was worth a few extra bucks. From there it becomes a "might as well" scenario and I ended up replacing every single brake component save the master cylinder, and every fuel component from the tank to the fuel rail. Peace of mind after seeing what these components look like after a few decades. In your case with a truck almost 20 years older than mine...even more important!

I wish mine was as pretty as yours though. :waytogo:

Working on a decades-old Blazer is a whole different experience than building a late-model Jeep, eh?

:wink1:

Nowhere near the work I put into my Jeep. Nowhere near.

I enjoy this much more, and so does the Blazer. I'm not trying to re-engineer the complete car. Click on my link down there in my signature and look at how much work I did on my Jeep.

This is my dream car, the TJ I got a good deal on and it just kinda snowballed.
The Blazer is something I've wanted since a little kid. When I'm done, it will blow the TJ out of the water.

:pimp:

Up and running. Need to dial it in better. Carb sat to long and the accelerator pump is not working but it still runs.
Passenger headlight won't work. Have to track that down.

While doing the timing noticed the fuel pump was leaking oil. Went to reseal it and found only three bolts...
One of the smaller lower ones had been broken in the block. Luckily it walked right on out of there with just a screwdriver.

You live in Palm Springs...... pull that damn hard top off and go for a drive!!! You don't even realize how much better the love affair with your 1st Gen can be!!!! :waytogo:

Exhaust?
Headman headers?
Short or long tube?
Flow Master 60 series?
Want to hear it but not obnoxious.

Carb tuning?

That's adorable....!! :)

C'mon bud, pull the hardtop and drop some EFI on that thing...

He is sticking with points over HEI, good luck on the swap to EFI......

Things were well corroded...

Pulled the wires out of the plugs for the voltage regulator and headlights and gave them a good cleaning...

Not sure what I'm doing with my axles at this point so just went out and bought replacement TRE's.
