last i know they dont give stickers .

i had these made from a older sticker of there design from another part and pasted in the pro flo 4 from there logo on the box .

What are they, 4”x4”? If so, I’ll buy two from you. I have a few small ones on the back of each side window for select vendors.

I have most of the hardware I need to get this job done. Thanks for the recommendations. Shout out to Heath for hooking me up with the ProFlo kit. @folkenheath did you toss that Allen head driver in the box? Looks like it fits the TC lockup switch that was recommended, or does it fit something on the Edelbrock intake?

The new intake is in pace and torqued down. Before stabbing the distributor in, I see a hundred wires in the loom behind it, most of which will no longer be used. I have to get that web untangled before proceeding. It’s like leaving garbage on the floor. Bugs me.

Plan is to get the ecu out from under the dash and pull the harness out the firewall. Is that doable? Then attempt to get rid of all the extre stuff (with the help of a wiring diagram for an 87 k5 :1zhelp: ) from the other end back to the ecu.

Getting exhaust on it Tuesday, after I trailer it back to my place, I can finish up the wiring, fuel lines as soon as weather permits. We skipped the 80 degree weather and went right into the low 90s this week.

Yes, it fits the lock screw for the Volcano insert, I include it with all intake manifolds with the Volcano system. You may never use it but it makes swapping inserts very easy.

Sounds like you have a good plan. You can remove the wiring and the factory ECU yes. In fact I put the Edelbrock ECU where the factory ECU was, its a little more work mounting it there but it turns out very nice.

Same thing happened here, went from 60s or low 70s to 90 it seems like.

Subsequent question regarding the TCI vacuum lockup switch that was recommended. I purchased the switch only CMP3766B. They sell this switch with a lockup wiring kit as well #376600. This is an 87 that had tbi, going to proflo4 on new motor. Do I need the kit?

When I was running the 700r4, I used the lockup switch more than letting the vacuum do it. Matter of fact at one point I just got rid of the vacuum line to the switch.

@mrk5 Maybe I wasn’t clear. I purchased the vacuum switch only, followed the link that @Bent77 posted earlier.

Since I have an 87 that had an ecm, do I need to get the kit?
The kit comes with the manual override you talked about. My assumption was that I only needed the vacuum operated switch since I had a 700r4 in an ecm equipped vehicle.

Trans was working before? Then you only need the vacuum switch

I thought you were asking for opinions on whether or not it was worth getting. My answer to that is yes. But no, it's not required.

No problem, I may end up implementing the manual override if the switch doesn’t do it’s thing or is problematic. At this point, ZZ Top is ringing in my ears….just got paid today, got me a pocket full of change.:woot:.
