I did the the top also and just not all finished with it and a lot easier to finish off and on the ground. Zim you miss nothing, the side marker lights had to be moved with the fender flares and I just stuck them aside for now, but I believe your right that they are required. The rims do look out of place with the paint so down the road will hopefully just run some kind of bead locker and Still leaning towards 35 or 37's. Overall it looks close to Vietnam tiger stripe camo that I was trying to mimic, it is a little busy when viewed from certain distances and looks good at other times. Definitely different from what I've seen around. I will take more pictures of it out in the real world to see how well it blends.
Do I need to identify specific axles ie Dana 60 front and 14 bolt ff to do axle swap in the future, or is this one ton I'm going to go look at good to go for a good parts truck to pick up? Any hints as to what to look for or avoid would be appreciated.
went to look at k30, and like many of you were warning I don't think this was as advertised.
this is the front axle, only ten bolts, 8 lug and truck has a big block in it but it does't look factory. badged k30 and rusted up so not a local truck from around here, probably somewhere in Nevada.
Not really ready to jump to this level yet but just thought I would start watching local crap in paper to see if could get lucky and start collecting parts for the future. Need lots more insight on what is what and how much things are worth before buying but thought I got lucky and now I'm pretty sure this truck was hacked up and this is not originally how a k30 came but it does have 8lug and 14 bolt rear just think it cam with 350 engine and not a dana 60 front axle.
