fiberglass k5 made by who?

Or if you don't want to take your time with it - sell it to me. I live in the rust belt.

No chit. I've got a 90% or so rust free Blazer but I'd kill for a tub that'd never rust.

I spend $250 a month to keep my single lift bay just to store my dart and cadillac. I did a frame off on the cady and ended up having to fix rust on a rust free car 2 years after finishing under coating the whole car in and out with ppg epoxy... florida is wet... I am sick of rust....

LOL... I noticed that truck on craiglist yesterday.

Now I need two k30 parts trucks...

A doubler setup added to that will make it so long you'll probably need a v-drive for the rear axle!

well as of now the whole set up is 45" from start of the bell housing to out put flang on the 205 about the same as a factory th350:D the shortest way to go with a doubler is to change the out put shaft on the 4 speed and in put on the 203 and in put on the 205. also the strongest set up:pimp:.. The doubler is about the same size as the factory np203 and the 4speed also came from gm with a 10 spline np203 :woot: so I think I can make it work with out getting longer then a long 700r4 system with a doubler:haha:..... the atlas II is also shorter then a np203 so may end up smaller then a factory auto set up if I go that way:dunno:.....

in truth I do not think I need a doubler just the ranger will split all my gears making the 4 speed an 8 speed and not just in two wheel drive, so my transfer gears are also split, giving me 10 gear choises with no doubler.....

well I got the 4 speed in was the exact same size as the th350 in the rear but the front shaft was short have to have it extended about 3 inches... I also called AD about making a doubler and it will extend the drive train 3 inches about what a 700r4 doubler set up is larger then the stock th350 set up... right?

well reproduced all the parts and it was simpler then making the molds! gitting ready to paint the 1977....

I am starting to think about rockwell axels once more...

my finle drive ratio with the sm465 and ranger is the same as a nv4500 .72 or 27% OD..... so by doing a little math I can tell that with a rockwell 6.73 ring gear I will make 3100 rpm at 70mph with 37in tires, little hi for a weekend driver... With the 6.54 first of the sm465 the crawl ratio with an np205 in lo will be 84.3816959 not bad at all, its about the same as a 700r4 with an atlas 6:1 case or a 700r4 with a 4:1 doubler with a 6.72 ring... now the 4th gear of the 700r4 is 0.7 and will save 100 rpm in the same set up still to mutch rpm at 70mph...

ok we have all seen that 700r4 4th 0.7, 4.11 ring 35in tire gives you a nice 1900rmp ball park express way rpm... so going on that rpm as good express way rpm, one way to make it there with small 35's and a rockwell with stock 6.72 ring is to put the ranger on an nv4500 you'd be at .43 in double od thats better then a t56 vett 6 speeds double od of .63! and your rpm will be 1900!!!! the crawl is almost as good as the sm465 set up at 73.92 but the d train may be longer with an nv4500 altho the sm465 np205 adaptor is a monster so may be not, the pinion angle will be mutch less with a rockwell so it may still work out in a k5... I'll most likly I'll stick to my sm465 and buy dana & 14 bolt but the idea of a rockwell set up on 35 to 37 is neet.

Holy earth plow batman.

There's a reason no one runs tires that small with Rockwells ASIDE from the super low gearing.

ya there lo hanging.. but the cost is what kills it for rockwells more then any thing.. $1000 for a set of no rear steer rockwells to start. They do sell a better gear for small tires but at $2400 a set of two, the brakes at $1200 for 4 wheel bus roters and gm clipers convert, two diffs at $1200, a set of rims $800 thats $6600!!!!... or the od way nv4500 $1000, ranger $1500 the brakes at $1200 for 4 wheel bus roters and gm clipers convert, two diffs at $1200 and still need rims $800 thats $5700 it all just adds up..

when a factory 1 ton set up gos for $800 some times with the rims...

shifter mock up.... I turned one of the np205 shifters out of 316 stainless and welded a tab on it to make a double shifter for the t-case will end up ditching the crome one and making a second 316ss unit but its a start...
I moved the t-case shifters forward on to the sm465 and bent the shift rod to form to the sm465 so they pop out on the top of the tranny cover... I may start fresh and try making bars that start the same way and bend back and around the sm465 shifter....

test fit of the fiberglass lower dash board and fiberglass dash pad.... turns out the last owner mounted the master cylinder/pedel bracket one inch or so out of place so had to pull the column when I painted and re drill the holes. I also made a clutch pedel that can be seen in photo number two but had yet to install the foot pad in the photo....
