It's a two sided shaft to span the gap from the 400 to the quadratrack case. Yes it's a Jeep case without low range. Awd torque split.

The output shaft on the transmission goes through the t-case and drives it through the back. The outputs are both on the bottom.

Quick read: http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/transfer-cases/quadratrac

Ah. That's what it looked like, but I just couldn't convince myself that both the outputs were offset like that. It is different, that's for sure. Assuming the front output hasta be fairly well lined up (for oil pan clearance), is the rear shaft diagonal?

No the rear axles offset also, if you check the pics I posted previously you woulda seen that..

Here is some pics of the new tcase, I uploaded it lol...

And a new shifter base, the old one broke off! I'll have to paint that shifter surround at some point.

So to make a pretty long story short, this truck actually has some roots on the East Coast. I work for a big 4x4 and offroad shop and my sales manager has been a racer for most of his life. He has raced in the Mint, codrove Baja, still races at Line Mountain out here etc. So I was talking to him yesterday and showed him a picture of the ORD buggy and he goes, "did I tell you I was supposed to codrive the Baja 1000 in a Blazer?" He proceeds to then tell me this was the truck! Apparently back in 2002 himself and Dennis whose name is on the door (who I believe he said built the motor for this thing, as he builds all of Mike's motors as well) actually towed this truck from Eastern PA all the way out to Baja for the race in 2002. He didn't get to codog it, but he drove the chase truck for that whole race. Kind of a small world. OH, and he actually built the lightbar that you can see in some of the pictures there.

I know chris used to live in Chicago just never thought anyone on this board knew those guys. It is a small world!
I think Dennis is going to be at the mint along with some of the other guys who've helped along the way. It'll be cool to meet everyone since we're new and hopefully going to continue to support Chris, his and our goals are very much aligned.
That all said, here's header porn..

This should bark a little more :).

I constantly try to get Mike out with us in the desert, but he's too busy. I have been to Line Mountain to watch Mike and Dennis race. I even rode with Dennis in his Jeep. Damn those trees are close!!

Piles of shocks destined to be rebuilt.
These are going on front, interesting tube layout, might have to change in the future.. 1 rebound ride zone tube and 4 compression?? And a rebound bottoming zone.. huh?? They came off a buggy..
IMG_1017.JPG

Bump stops and the 14s which will get swapped to Coilover and bypasses once the back gets linked.

And the bypasses from the Prerunner.
