@brt666, do you have any updates for this thread? I'm curious how the suspension project turned out.

There is no better way to spend a Swedish midsummer then in the company of a bunch of hillbillys drinking insane amounts of beer, reving up old american cars and incinerate pig meat. The fact that the party take place in absolute nowhere is a big bonus i supose :D

Hello Campfire and thanks for the interest!
Its working flawless, no leaks and no sinking between rides. Im now so confident with the system that i will remove one of the two springs in the front spring pack since it is really working better on the rear axle than in the front. I suppose it depends on the fact that the rear springs are sagging so it relies more upon the citroen stuff in the rear.

I have other problems with this truck that have pissed me off to a degree that i was close to put a match to it so i just let it rest for a while.
For the moment the oil pressure switch has broken, the AC is dead and the master cylinder is leaking. Its also pissing coolant everywhere, this truck phucking LOVES pissing coolant! I have changed all hoses, heater core, thermostat, water pump, radiator and frost plugs (THAT was a pita!) And now the new radiator is leaking, and a radiator is about $1000 in Sweden. Last month i changed batteries (the old one died in Germany last summer) $300, drived it a week and then the new starter fell down on the ground...
And yeah, some funny eco terrorist, we have a lot of them in Sweden (thanks Greta!), loosened all 8 nuts on a front wheel so i lost it on the highway 500 km from home and ****ed up the rim. Calm, calm, calm.... no fire, fire is bad....

This is so cool. I love sh!t like this. 'Round here we call it "redneck engineering".

I remember when we were living in England in the early 90's my dad had a Citreon XM. it was the first car I had ever been in with adjustable ride height. I thought we were driving a space ship! If I'm not mistaken, it had a very similar (if not the exact same) style hydractive system.

Thank you sir!

It is still working like a charm so i consider removing a couple of spring blades in the rear.
The most recent project is to make someone build me a winch bumper in stainless steel and attach my Warn to it.

"Redneck engineering" would be quite accurate since i'm a mechanical engineer and i'm considered a redneck in my circle of acquaintances!

Yes, almost all Citroën had that suspension design, some ad more control over the height than others.
I had a few when I was in the middle east: a couple of DS19, a DS21 and GS x3
