I've got the bass pro version of that and I love it for my filet and dressing knives. Not as precise as yours and you only get 4 angles but simple, fast I'll never sharpen anything without it againAbsolutely rediculous how sharp some of my knives are now

I bought it second hand and missing one of the silicon carbide stones. (came with an entire second set of 1/2 worn diamond stones though) -paid under half what it would cost new. also came with tsprof tools (nothing special allen wrench set with handles) and a nice pelican style case. If this had not popped up, I would have probably bought one of the 60-70 dollar amazon knockoffsNot sure I'd spend that much on sharpening system.
I have some stones I like, and have been using for years.
That said I resharpen my knives after the Cutco guy does. Well I don't let him anymore.
didnt know they had one. I will probably always use this or some other sharpener with a guide rod. what a difference in finished product.I've got the bass pro version of that and I love it for my filet and dressing knives. Yeah, it's a cheap one but the second to last hole on the guide is the perfect angle for filet knives. One day I'll hand it down to one of the kids and get something nicerdidnt know they had one. Ive used grinders, belt sanders, oil stones, sheets of sandpaper taped to the bench... i can put an edge on something, but nothing as consistent or impressive for the time spent.
Boy I tell ya this sumbitch is handier than a pocket on a shirt.

It's a lathe chuck on a trailer spindle that fits in a receiver hitch welded to the table.
I rotate it by the vise grip ground clamp. It doesn't go by itself. Instead of me flopping these two 45s on the table, I can steadily control them.
When I have to make 20 of something, this is way less tiring.
I initially built it to weld flanges on to pipes but it is very versatile and more useful than I thought.
On the other end of the table I can set it at 45 either way. Practically everything I make now is round.
