Got any cool tools lately?

Hytorc- that’s who @Raggedy_Ann and I work for.
SWEET !

Than I must apologize for all the folks that mistreated y’all’s equipment.
Some folks just should it work at an industrial plant and have no idea on how to properly treat tools.

Hytorc stuff was/is GREAT !
We tried a few other brands but Hytorc is what we always ended up preferring.
And no other sockets out lived/lasted better than y’all’s stuff!

I should’ve recognized the van.

We have a 1300# torque wrench at work that I couldn't tell you the use for...
But I used it when I torqued the pinion nut down on my 14b because it was all I could find big enough lol.

People mistreating our tools is how I make a paycheck.

We used AIMCO, E-RAD, CLECO and Hytorc and Hytorc was by far the most reliable under extreme service and abuse.

Some of the other brands were chosen simply because of fitment issues and/or data logging capabilities.

Good to run into some folks from one of our old suppliers!

I've done quite a bit of LS engine stuff the last few years. And now I find myself back at it again.IMG_20250829_203735288.jpg

Two tools that are cheap but would have made life MUCH easier are an LS specific harmonic balancer puller, and installer.
Ran into needing both yesterday and just said **** it and ordered some overnight Amazon ones.IMG_20250831_082920389.jpg

Why they couldn't just make a simple threaded hole in the end of the crank for a regular bolt I don't know.
I don't see any reason the threads have to start 4.5" back inside the crank. ?

Installer was $12, and Amazon said free overnight with qualifying purchases over $25...
So I found a $13 qualifying puller to throw in the cart :thumb:

I don’t think I posted this. I got a thing to make yellow batteries fit on red tools. Works fine, but the battery drains if you leave it on there. It’s too fat to fit some of the tools. For scale both are sitting on the same size battery, it ends up being kind of bulky, but gets the job done in a pinch. Fits fine on the impact and saw. DeWalt 20v to Milwaukee M18.

Also got a battery powered sprayer. Takes the M12 batteries, same as my ratchet. Sprayer works well for garden products. Haven’t used it for stain yet.

Oh my.... I don't know how I ever did dump runs without dump trailer.!?
That was so slick, quick, and easy!

Now, just if our dump didn't SUCK in the actual trash area.
They used to bury the pile in 6"-12" of dirt a couple times a day, and now they just smash it all down and let you drive on the crap for a couple days. It's a tire nightmare.
So I don't go out to that part lol.

The spot I do dump is in a quonset hut thing but it's only pickup beds or single axle trailers. :notworthy:

They smash it down all day long, and as the pile moves back, you just drive on smashed down BS to get to where they want you to dump.

It's completely terrible, and it's not how it used to be done.
