"Hardcore" 89 (Black and Blue). IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. BUILD ON HOLD

My latest body mods :wink1:

Driver door now matches the passenger side with the exception of the door handle.

Taillight is still surviving..barely

I make every effort to keep my grille in one piece, but a log in the bushes snuck up on me :(

I will post more pics if the other guys got some good ones :D

What pitman arm are you running? Is it clocked so that it's perfectly straight backwards when eh wheel is centered?

Truck looks great, we need more action shots though :D

Superlift part # 1104 IIRC. Yeah it is pretty much straight back with the tires straight.

maybe its just me, but I dont see why everyone likes to go out and trade paint with trees. I cried when I got my 2 dents, you must be horrified.

At first it's hard to rub on a tree... But, if you keep wheeling here in WA, you're gonna trash every piece of sheet metal on a fullsize...

It gets easier to deal with though...:D

Nice...

Your truck is gonna look like the rest of us in no time...:D

Looks like Walker Valley...

Yep Walker Valley.

I do make every effort to stay off of the trees, but sometimes there is just no way around it up here. Body Damage is just part of this hobby IMO. I didn't put 1 tons and Beadlocked 40's under it to be part of the in croud :wink1:

My first dents were little so it got easier to deal with as they got worse. Now i am to the point if i can keep my windshield frame straight and put my top bck on in the winter then its just collateral damage :D

Maybe it's just me, but I have never understood having a nice body on an off road vehicle.

My truck should be street worthy next weekend. I would like to hit up some trails with you guys, hit me up if you are going to go out within the next month or two. Im down at fort lewis, so not too far off.

Ya sorta like taking a show truck in the dirt...one side of the fence or the other. I still like how my truck looks :D

I know the next two weekends are busy, but I would like to get out the weekend after that. Maybe we could hit Reiter so its not so far for you.

There's no reason why you can't wheel and look good while doing it :cool1:
Nope just depends on where you are wheeling and what your definition of looking good is :wink1:

Sounds like a plan, she is running pretty good as of right now. I am going to take it out this weekend and test it out on some local trails.

I believe dents add character. Your truck looks great, but so does MTBLAZER's in it's own right.

Went wheeling again a couple weekends ago. Small group of guys I work with and a couple guys from the local club. It was Me in the K5, a Yota truggy, a Sami , a CJ5, a TJ, and a JK. Ok well on to the pics. :D

CJ5 had ignition issues not too far in to the trail so we left it till the end of the day as not to hold everybody up.

There was this cool V notch ledge we found up on top. Nothing major, but it was pretty steep and had a concave portion up the left side to get your tire stuck in. Nobody wanted to try it so i did.

Pictures really don't do justice to how steep it is when the front tires reach the top :wink1:

The other guys with us are kinda new to wheeling. They thought that us climbing this ledge was insane. I was proud of all the praise they gave to my "simple old Chevy" :D I'm really impressed with the LTB's. They stick to everything. When they do spin, a simple bump is all it takes usually.

Up on top. It was a beautiful day for Oct in the Pac northwest.

It was a really fun day with minimal issues. I partially ripped off my Driver side door handle, but it still works :wink1: Got the CJ off the trail without too much trouble. My buddy had a long enough trailer to get the Sami and CJ both on and put his Yota on the Sami's trailer. Got home a little late, but didn't have to go back for a rig :)

Youtube is doing maint so I will get the videos up when I get a chance!

Yeah its a pretty cool place. Lots of tight trails in the bottom with mud and rutty climbs then open up top with rocks and the pit is a good lunch stop and place to play around. :D

Yes my steering sucks. Might be NSFWK for language

The sami had enough footage to get his own vid :D

I like your K5. How are those LTBs working out for you? Also, I think your K5 is the only '89-'91 K5 I've ever seen that doesn't have its original steering wheel on it. That style steering wheel seems to be popular on this site. Quite a few people have them in their rigs.
