"Hardcore" 89 (Black and Blue). IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. BUILD ON HOLD

I got that same battery crimper set from amazon. Have you used it yet?
I will say I like them a lot. More so because I like having custom routed cables. Be careful when you crimp because it’s not a clean pinch. You end up with a pretty decent lip left over. I just hide it under the heat shrink.

Yeah I did some 4ga stuff for my camper batteries. Screwed up a couple crimps, but got it figured out.

I've looked all over. They are 63/64 inch springs, but everywhere I look it seems they all have the same spring eyes and these have two different ones.
Do you have 3/4ton or 1/2ton?
I think the 3/4 are different sizes on one end

I am almost certain they were from a 1/2 ton because they were only a 2 leaf plus overload. I didn't like the length difference between the main leaf and the 2nd leaf. So I got another set of springs, that were the same thing, 2 + overload. I took the main leaf from that and cut the spring wraps off. Then I added that under the main leaf of the original set of springs. I do remember the spring bushings were different sizes at both ends. I always thought that was weird but figured that is how they were supposed to be cause I've never had another set of these springs.

I can't say for absolutely certain what vehicle they came off of, because both sets of springs were given to me by a local offroad shop after they were cleaning up their scrap bin

I did some digging and it looks like you have '99+ rear half ton springs. They went to the different eye sizes in '99 it looks like. The 2509 is a front eye bushing and the 2511 is a rear eye bushing and the dimensions look like they match what you have. The Jeg's link is the whole kit with everything for spring eyes and shackle eye.

Hey I just wanna say thanks again. The Jegs kit finally came in yesterday and the bushings fit perfectly.

Shock eyes..parallel or perpendicular to each other? Does it really matter?
Personal preference, and application.

Perpendicular gives the shock ability to move in 2 directions though, where parallel only allows movement in one direction. Take a look at your mounts, and decide what movement you expect to see through suspension travel. If it were me, i'd much rather run perpendicular and rely less on pushing movement.

Ok I'm going to leave these lower mounts how they are. Bolts running front to back. I'll see how the upper mounts fall out later.

Got all the WFO links for the torque arm fully welded and the crossmember done. Just gotta get the shock mounts welded to the axle and paint everything.
