Took a trip to FORDYCE Creek Trail for our 2nd annual Father Daughter trip . We had Five rigs this time including
@bmxbryant9 . Four of us reached the eagle lakes staging area around 8:30 Thursday night and decided to stay there and hit the trail early the next morning.

we hit the trail around 8:00 am with a goal of camping at the base of which hill 1 or a waterfall spot above WH2 we hit drive line pretty quick nobody flinched at attempting the obstacle we all made it up except for the the short wheel base TJ that just snagged on the rear bumper .

After that we made it to the first water crossing in no time then WH1 by 11:30 for lunch . After lunch we decided to go for the waterfall camp ground and chose to hit WH1 I jumped out in front to go first chose a bad line and had to go for another which resulted in me getting hung up on my diff and winch off .Once free I continued up WH1 to the wedge where the fun began . I climbed to the top which resulted in a 2nd gear bump to get up and over .

after we all made it up once said and done one other winch was pulled . We jammed up to the second water crossing where we ran into the woods Offroad crew from San Diego good people. They were on a run from San Diego to rubicon to FORDYCE and back with no trailers pretty awesome! Unfortunately by the time we reached the waterfall it was taken . We decided to drive back down to WH1 and setup camp .

The next day we hit committee to play in the river and watch shenanigans.

had a great day until we decided to leave .One rig broke a front driveshaft that required only having 2wd the rest of the trip . As we drove down WH2 I caused my rig to stall and from this point on my rig would have trouble starting while I was trying to figure out the issue the TJ came around the corner and I hear a pop and a ping the steering box let go ! We quickly got out our tools and started the repair . We drilled out one hole to run a bolt and nut through the frame. And could only get one more in .
The box was still unstable . We weren’t sure what to do then it hit me I suggested wrapping the winch cable around the box and frame to hold it in place ‘ worked like a champ and got him off the trail we camped at WH1 one more night and limped out Sunday morning!
It was a great trip can’t wait till the next . We missed
@skunked but had a great trip till next year sorry no pics of the breaks .
