Man, I think I had to wait 6wks for mine back in February.

been watching them count down for a month now . just showed avalible Thursday night . I said screw it get it now so I don't get stuck waiting next batch .

I see you fired it up @mrk5 how you like it so far ?

still can't get a fitech fuel pump, had to order another Summit pump for my buddies 502 install we did yesterday.

that's why I am going stock efi tank / sender / acdelco pump for vortec use to get the psi needed for my needs .

I did the same but it wasn't an option with the custom fuel cell/sump he's running.

I've only had it on one short drive and didn't get a good feel because the throttle return spring was WAY too stiff. Aside from that, it starts right up just like the old TBI. I'm eager to take it for a real drive. Unfortunately when I had to drop my tank again, one of the exhaust v-band clamps got messed up so I have to wait for a new one to arrive before I can button the exhaust back up and go for a drive.

ya i found that spring a little stiff as well which has made it a little harder on the tires since i am giving it that extra push to compensate

My buddy mentioned his pedal feel was a little stiff too (72 K5). I think a lot of it has to do with the pedal/linkage geometry so they make the throttle body with a stiffer spring to accommodate. I didn't notice this problem with the El Cam or the 57, I should have some feed back on my truck once I receive some linkage parts from summit.

Mine was a spring I added. I'm going to go without an add-on and see what it feels like.

Interesting discovery today. I've been trying to figure out why it's idling at 850RPM when I set it for 750. Started doing some trouble shooting for a vacuum leak and found this useful information: http://www.efisystempro.com/efi-pro...y-sniper-installation-startup-troubleshooting

I checked the idle speed curve as recommended there and found I had that error to fix with the -40°F idle being way low. Fixed that and closed it out but happened to glimpse something that raised a flag. It said the table was for 850RPM but it's supposed to be 750. Went in a checked the parameters and sure enough it says idle above 160°F (closed loop) is 850. I changed that to 750 and the table now reflects the same. And now it idles at 750RPM.

I could have SWORN I set the idle at 750 on the initial setup. I think if I did anything different it might have been 800 at the most. So for some reason the ECU is going with 850 regardless until you manually change the RPM in the basic settings.

So keep an eye on that.

If I can later, I'm going to reset the ECU and see if the 750RPM takes or if it defaults to 850 again. I'm the only one in the office today so it might be hard to get back to the shop long enough. Plus I need to put some fuel in the tank. :doah:

Weird to see 850, that's to high for most any vehicle. You would think if there was a default it would be 750

And it's one of those things that makes me start questioning myself. Did I bump the slider at the last second and caused the RPM setting to jump before I hit the next button. Or did I hit the next button before actually setting the idle.

Okay, I just reset the ECU and made sure the idle was set where I wanted it. Found that it was after fixing the graph above that the system idle jumps up to 850. So if a person does the fix outlined above, make sure you go into basic tuning and set your idle where you wanted it.
