Absolutely, half the reason I keep the (HEAVY) bedsides is because it makes it look like a Chevy.
I want it to look like a Chevy still so running fenders for sure.
I might make em quick release and not run em all the time.
Oh who am I kidding no I won't. They will stay on.
I want my truck to still look like what it started as.
I have come as close to looking like a buggy as I want to come. I ran with fenders for a couple years before I smashed them into bits and the cool thing about running fenders is I can use just about the most rusted out piece of crap fender out there, I cut most of it away anyway, its good bodywork practice too to mod em, cause I cut em and add a bit to have the first bit be straight.
In fact I think I am going to put new fenders on this time, the old ones are pretty smashed.
Might even add a bumper up front to help protect said new fenders

How far are the blades in/out of the shroud, shoot for 50% each way if you can.
If this is temporary, pop rivet some tin around the opening on the top to close the gap up. Maybe take a big truck mudflap to extend the shrouded area on the bottom side.
Think a couple gussets on the tubes where they meet the radiator hoop would be good???

I think id just get an electric fan eric, it looks like theres not much of that bottom shroud left and its not going to do its job the way you want. Unless you could make up something out of sheet metal that would center the shroud circle with the center of the fan.. That would look sick out of some galv sheet btw, throw some nice bends in, little rivet action for looks....![]()

Thats kind of how you make a shroud there Adam![]()

I was kind of thinking about exactly what you did the other day, mount the radiator to the frame and then skin out the front
How much weight do you think it saved?
And I thought u said the fan was now lower on the rad, and i meant center the circle lower on the rad if possible and box the rest of the rad in.![]()

I find your pictures useful. At some point in time, I will be doing a similar project and I find your build extremely informative. Keep posting.I know lots of pics of boring things really but it helps keep me motivated.
My windstars cost like $40, just food for thought.
