Horton, driveshaft opinions wanted

Ok and so how much work did it take to build a shroud and what do you do when you do in deep water and how much horse power did you save.............. do I need to go on?

I was just sayin..... Would be cool, ill let you know how long it takes me when I actually build it....:doah::D

yeah that's my point though $40 and some mount fabbing and wire running and two switches and its done for good. Except I get to move the relays with the new front end set up.

Electric Fans would most likely be the best option i know. Just tossing up ideas.

I got a ceiling fan and/or an old computer fan Im not using right now

Deep water and Horton :haha::haha::haha::haha:

No seriously though my biggest whine about electric fans is simply the noise.

Going to hit a wrecking yard on Wed see what I can find for cheap. I think it may stay like this till after KOH.

Like I said really didn't have a problem with overheating with just the top part of the shroud on before

I run twin electrics on mine, 10" ones I bought in a kit from ebay, came with mounting ties and the relay for around $65

Any problems with em?

My truck can be sitting idling for a while in the rocks, easy on a summer day with a bunch of black rocks around you to hit 110*

I have never had good luck with aftermarket electrics

Im running the same kind of fans but the 12". Got them on a big aluminum radiator trying to keep a stock 305 cool and they wont do it. Going down the road or even 10-15 mph on a smooth trail and it does alright but when you get to an obstacle the temp slowly climbs. Slow moving, climbing, idleing etc. and they just wont keep it cool. I run a good high flow 160 thermostat and have seen the temps get up to 230 on an 80 degree day. I would look for something better.

Windstars for sure. I can get them all day for 20 bucks. I run the small fan most of the time. Keeps it at like 160 all day no matter what the temp.
