I am actually going to add back in front turn signals too. My taillights work and other than bumper/fender/mudflap violations I am legal to run in Idaho.
Oh wait I don't have windshield wipers anymore. So I am sure I would get pulled over if passed by a trooper for the most part they can't issue me a citation that involved a moving violation nor can they technically tell me I can't drive the vehicle

This is something I was going to ask you about. I have a similar rig and it is street legal in Arkansas other than windshield wipers, which I find odd because it is not required that you have a windshield
I couldnt even find any information about tire coverage/mudflaps so I assume that I dont need them. IF I ever drive it through town I will throw some on just in case. My house is about 45 miles from my father in-laws house who lives next door to an offroad park and national forest with hundres of miles of trails. I usually leave my rig parked at his house and drive to the trails unless it needs major repair.

Oh yah I need a rear veiw mirror too![]()

) for some auto gage gauges of which he is pretty sure he only has 3 or 4 sets.

I like your dash, when I get around to doing the same thing you are I planned on something similar.
What is going on the passenger side though?

it is looking cool Eric...interested to see the turnout of this.Haven't quite got that figured out yet, some type of glove box. For small stuff, its certainly not the most functional on the passenger side but its cool looking.![]()
Kert and Ion both are Autometer distributors.Yet another thing I may copy from you. That is if the wife allows me to spend a few hundred on gagues![]()
Background, took my wiring harness out of my 87 (Horton started as an 87 pickup) and put in a wiring harness from an 89 blazer I had kicking around.
The goal was to clean up wires, 87 harness was a fully loaded truck and hacked by PO, 89 wiring harness has never been touched and was a stripped down truck.
So these two wires brown with a black strip ( or possibly tan with a black stripe)

The only other wire I can find is this ( this is the original engine harness) Same colors

Book I have says that the brown with black stripe is spark control. but this wire does not go to the computer at all.
Anyone got better wiring diagrams for an 87 pickup and a 89 Blazer, better than the haynes one I have at least.
And no the harnesses are not the same the bulkhead connector is different
