you just did that so you could justify more mods....

glad your ok Eric...

damn I got on here to post my vid but you beat me to the punch. there is a reason they call that line captain insano. I did get to drive the slightly beaten up horton out though, that was fun, its to bad it was bk Eric further brain damaged himself today.

Man that's a bummer. I commented on your FB page with the picture but had no idea it was that hard of an impact.
Really glad to hear you all are ok.

This is the kind of stuff I want to bring up and show guys that hack together cages with pipe and poop welds and say, "it looks ugly but it's strong" :(
Ask them how it'd fare on a hit like that.

No kidding!

Glad ya'll had your seatbelts on! I figured it was a nasty roll given all the damage, but dang, that was a hard hit!

Did your passenger hit her head on the roll cage? Sure looked like it... Betcha she doesn't ride with you again :doah::haha:

Again glad to hear you are ok Eric! Let me know if I can help you with getting Horton fixed back up!

You sir are speaking the truth, we were talking about that right after the roll. The consensus was eric and that chick would be seriously injured or dead. Byw Eric what the heck was her name?

She hit her leg and that was it, it was her first time in a 4x4 and she wasnt downtrodden at all, she would wheel again, crazy wimenz

Glad you are ok man! Those pics dont do justice for how steep that was. The vid from the upper side really shows it!

Man Eric, glad you and the passenger are ok. Now just to convince your wife that you need more mods. One of these days I need to meet Horton, but he so rarely gets down here. :haha:

Glad your OK Eric, hopefully you feel better now. That was a hard tumble.

xs a bajillon Avery, I am convinced even if my cage had been HREW it would have fared way worse.

No kidding!

Thanks Russ, my passenger, Leah, is fine, legs a bit banged up and she is sore like me but overall fine and like Jon said she was ready to do it again. She didn't hit her head at all, neck is sore.

I actually told her to get out at one point and she said no way, so I reached over and pulled her harnesses as tight as I could get em!

I will always wear my harnesses henceforth and forever more!

Lots to fix?

Not as much as it would seem Drove it out, if I hadn't had been feeling like crap we would have finished the trail. Horton did start to overheat a touch though.

How is the head?

Not good. Fairly brutal today, anytime I hit my head it makes my normal headache worse and this is no exception, I will be down for a couple days

Wow glad everybody is ok.
Your cage held up well considering the part that that took the hit is the weakest part of the whole cage, I would have guessed it would have crumpled there for sure, I obviously way over built mine.
Yeah after hitting my head in Idaho I will always wear the full harness and helmet.

vid of most of the recovery

We got the other winch hooked up and lowered Horton down slow.

Still took some winching after this to get Horton all the way out though.

But with Horton running it was alot easier
