Tilt front pics.
Here it is. My welding skills vary from day to day
and this was about 8 years ago, so lets hold those comments to a minimum. On the plus side it has not fallen off yet.
I used bolts to hold down the back.
The hinge with modified spring bushings.
Hinge opened, the top pad sits on the bottom pad when closed.
Bumper tilts with the clip and adds weight for ballance making it easier to open and close.
Radiator mount also holds the clip open just past balance. Using tie down straps allows adjustment and easy removal.
Straps connected to hood.
The end of the fenders are capped. I used a body bushing for the hood to rest on when bolted down.
Everything gets re-located to the firewall.
Yes access is very good, the whole clip comes off with two bolts, two straps and wiring conctions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

That's exactly what I was looking for, Thanks! Probably going to relocate my battery to the cab and locate my overflow bottle to the firewall but that gives me some ideas.

79 GMC jimmy with about 14" of lift sitting on 39.5 tsl swamper and boggers. sorry i couldnt figure how to make the pics viewable by everyone.

4in Dick Cepek springs in front, 4in blocks in back. 33x12.50x15 Big O A/T

4inch rancho used saggy front springs, stock rear springs , older used shocks, d44 and 14b with 4:10s...35 bfg muds on 15x10 eatons,flowmaster duals,... yea i know no d60 or 456s....put em in my shortbed...if ya add up all the parts from different trucks its like 15..lol...it was really rusty but shes all good now

Obviously he's kinda new here. So here is one of the general rules (salute) "No pics + no proof = didn't happen."
