no build thread yet i bought the truck 2 month ago i added the 6" pro comp lift ,wheels and tires,
front axle:reid racing knucles new bearing,rotors and reman calipers,cross over steering and high steer arms,psc steer box and hubs converted to 8 lug..
Rear axle:14bff ,rear disk brake conversion with E brake and new bearing,1330 to 1350 u joint conversion..
Working on front and rear tube bumpers,rebuilding king 2.0 shocks, regear to 4:56 and truss front axle with 2" chromoly tube and plate then i can move on to motor and trans and some interior

My current truck has a 4 inch lift with 35s and no trimming. I've owned Blazers for over twenty years, and had both stock and lifted trucks. I still very much like stock look with 10.50 x 31 tires, especially when they were brand new. I think what I have now is a little too high for my liking, but it looks good. I think the ideal setup would be 2.5 inch lift with 32s and stock alloy rims. There you have still the essence of "stock" coupled with some added ruggedness.
23 years ago I bought a brand new 1989 metallic gray Blazer which had the factory plow package, which was essentially an extra leaf in the front. I really liked that stock height, at least up front. I should have put something in the back to level it out. I think I only plowed once with it. Below is a picture of the Gray K5 I bought new in 1989. The Black and White truck is a 1991 and what I currently have now. I changed the Classic MTs to the Soft 8's about a year ago. Classics were just to hard to maintain IMO.

Chris, thanks for the comment. I really like your set-up based on what I see in your Avatar. I've always said that my next Blazer would be a 1989-1991 stock black with black wheels with chrome or silver center caps...... or 1989 -1991 stock white with same wheel setup, just like yours.

These are both 1-tons with 4" and HumVee 37's, and have the weight of a Cummins sitting in the front.
