How would you deal with a deadbeat seller?

You know Shawn, if you would've waited until you could make good on an apology and an immediate payment, then posted up, it would've gone a long way to mending fences. Sometimes perception is more important than reality. You may not be a dick, but you ended up looking like one.

kind of had to re-read that one a couple times but I get what your saying.
 
Well hell, this sucks. He owes me a set of Dana 60 bearing hubs that I paid for a while back. It has been a while (year), but I havent needed them and the last time I asked about them, he still had them. I actually just pm'd him a while ago asking about them befor seeing this thread.
Hopefully he'll reply to my pm


okay now what about this guy, he's waited a year

You know Shawn, this could have all been avoided (besides the obvious) if you had just answered the phone. When I called and asked if the money had been sent yet, you said to call back at 5, which I did and you didn't answer. You continued to ignore my calls after that. If you recall you got several chances when you were responding to me. You already knew that I was pissed and your ignoring me was the last straw. You should have seen this coming.
Since you're getting commission checks you must be in the line of sales. Have you not learned that the customer is always right and you should go out of your way to please them? Have you learned anything from this?

And no, this is not over yet, not until I have the money in my hands.:deal:

wait a second... this is the second time stuff like this has gone on... on CK5.... i know of other times other instances of same qualities hapened, but they will remain unlisted....

this happened a while back.. maybe 2 years... i think it was under his old screen name....

Shawn, when i met ya.. i THOUGH ya had your head on straight.... but little by little.. over a SHORT time... i saw otherwise. you had a few good deals i wanted to get.. but i didnt get a good vibe from ya...

Sad.

I was thinking more like echobit. Had a nice product, promised a delivery date, then promised money back, then ignored calls and finally disconnected his phone. :D
 
y cash the check until the buyer has the product not that big of a deal not your $ until buyer has the stuff
 
Sorry to hear about this misfortune Jim, that's unacceptable. As an AZ CK5 member, I must apologize. Shawn has been told many times to get things straightened out, and get responsible. Apparently it fell on deaf ears. It's sad I even have to type this. Pay Jim back, Shawn, and NOW! Don't delay, no excuses.
 
Yep, talk about giving AZ a bad name. I was beginning to discount all AZ people before this thread, but it's good to see there are some stand up guys there. :waytogo: I got a few PM s from some locals that were willing to offer their 'services'. In fact I'd like to thank everyone for their support and influence in getting this matter resolved.
It's sad to see that it had to come to this. And for that new guy from pirate4x4, Tnkrawler, this is not typical behavior at all on here. Sorry you had to see this. :blush:
 
Well, here it is, 5 hrs after I got the tracking number and I still get 'Invalid tracking number' when I cut and paste it in the UPS site. Hopefully he just typed it wrong like he did his address. It should be in the UPS system by now shouldn't it? :confused:

With all the excuses coming from Shawn, would you really be surprised if the tracking number doesn't show up? Come on man, he jerked your gherkin for a whole year. :thinking:
 
Actually, I have had UPS tracking numbers say "invalid" for up to 24 hours after it has been put into the system. This being a weekend, it could take even longer. Heck, I've had packages arrive at the door before the tracking number was valid.

That said, double-check with him to make sure he gave you a complete tracking number, or if the tracking number he gave you was actually from UPS. I know that if I go to Mail Boxes, ETC or places like that, you have to track them from their page, even though they ship UPS.
What does the number he gave you look like?

Otherwise, he's lying to you. :D
 
I don't think I'm alone in this thought, but I feel he should be banned from CK5. He's not exhibiting the behavior we should be showing to each other here.

He should be banned for his actions, and his obvious lack of care.

the store used to be a mail box ect, now it is a ups store, been that way for a few months I believe, damn I payed the extra money to make it a big envelope and atracking # and now it wont even show this is only making things worse.? :(

as for the sale I would feel better if he got the doors and his cash back.
 
post up the number,,,, those of us that use ups will know if its bogus...plus you can still call and UPS will tell you if its one of theirs or not... even if it doesnt show up yet....
