At this point, I still didn't have proof that it was a stage1 car.
Looked through the glove box, and the original folder for the owners manual was in there.

Do I have a Stage1 455 engine?

Looked up the Stage1 Registry website, and found where to look for engine stamping.

Yay again! It is a Stage1 block!

Did some more digging, and found the vin stamped in the block!
Numbers matching 455!! Also found the vin stamp in the TH400!

very cool news. You have a good machine shop in town ? Can't let just anybody at those parts. Make sure to have the heads well inspected, have more then 1 B455 with micro cracks

That is one cool find. I always have loved Buicks of that era. I still kick myself for not bringing my 69 Wildcat Custom to Tennessee.
