Every time we have one of these threads I feel like the take away should be
- Seat time is better than anything
- Just because the internet says you need XYZ to go to Moab and have fun doesn't actually mean you really need that.
- If you do lots of work on your vehicle, finish it a month ahead of time and drive it,
- The BB "staff" is really all volunteers and we want to help but there are only so many of them/us to go around.
- Things happen on the trail, those should be the holy crap that just happened. NOT oh! that ujoint has been squeaking for a year so it's no surprise it blew up, oh shoot it took out the axle shaft too? Wow man who has one I can use?
- There are fast movers and slow movers on the trail, we all need to work together to get the trail done.
- Don't underestimate your vehicle but please don't over estimate yourself.
And I really like to get to camp in the daylight, mainly because the bulk bottle of Jack is there. I only have emergency rations for the trail.
