If you were going to build a small tube buggy....

Can you just Frankenstein all the **** in Craig's backyard?

If you wanted something more solid to start with I'd grab an x90 and sas. T-tops ftmfw!

Does it have to be 4 wheel drive? Why not a small light rail buggy? Gotta still be VW parts around somewhere...

I've already got that figured for a snowmobile powered dune buggy.

I feel like 4wd is necessary for a trail rig.

Check this out....

A quad turned buggy.. Now that would be sweet and simple. Suspension and drivetrain is already there... Just build a tube frame... Basically have a sweet razor that doesn't cost $10000 and is way more cool....

I like this a lot.....

That's too big. I want tiny. Like get a small single axle trailer and tow with the blazer tiny (though I'm not sure what weight limits for towing are with a 2500 stall converter... May have to get a different one)

Plus if I'm building a buggy. I want it to be my tube design.. I'm just weird like that

I'm really liking that atv buggy. Pick up a decent one for 2-3k. And spend a couple hundred in tube. Lengthen driveshafts and axle shafts. You get reverse, liquid cooled... Low range.... Sounds perfect. I don't like the handlebars in that one. Steering wheel and gas and break pedals and that's exactly what I'm thinking.

I wonder what it would weigh... I think this guy said he had under 150' of .095 wall 1.5" dom. Not sure the weight it would add.

whats a quad weigh? 800lbs? have a rig that weighs 1000 lbs... small trailer, tow behind the demon semon? :thumb:

The quad headlight and handlebars are definitely a no in my book. And I think it would need some stretching in the front to add foot pedals. I think some of the height could be removed as well.

The single seat hayabusa sand rail weighs right at 700lbs.

Mostly .095
Aluminum wheels

Sweet. I would bet this would be a little heavier with the extra 4x4 parts.

I think the frame would look much better like this...
