Introductions & Greetings

Hello one and all. My problem is with a 1980 Camaro RS. It has been stored near the river for 8 years ,and every thing on the bottom got rusted bad. I have put on all new brake and gas lines, new rotors, calipers, master cylinder, propotiong valve, rear wheel cylinders and I cant get any brakes on the rear. I am 84 years old and started working in my fathers garage in 1936, so I have bled brakes many, many times but I never ran into any thing like this and I need to know how to bleed the proportiong valve. The place where I bought it said I didnt bleed it right but they didnt send me any instructions, so maybe some one here can wise me up. I would be beholding to you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot.

Life time K5 owner

Hello fellow K5 enthusiast,

I’ve owned my 71 K5/Blazer for about 26 years now, and never plan on giving it up. As a matter of fact before I got married I made it clear that she’d go before the truck ever would ;-) It’s a pretty stock daily driver as I’ve never gotten a chance to make it a project truck between school, other hobbies, career and becoming a dad, but now that my sons getting older I’m starting to make plans to start rebuilding this next year.

Anyway it’s great to finally find a group of people that likely have the same passion for these trucks as I do, it’s also been extremely helpful lately as this last year brought me trouble with both axles and some of the links and resources I found here helped tremendously.

Looking forward to hanging out here on a more regular basis,

Steve

Hi I'm from Sacramento California. I have a 74 K5 Blazer that I'm trying to find weatherstripping and parts for. Seems there's not much out there. Can anyone Help. I replace the original motor with a Chevy Vortech Motor. Gutted the interior. Built a custom dash, rear bumper, and still have a long way to go. But for right know, I need the weatherstripping.. Anyone have any ideas where to go for that?

Thanks

Hi, my name is Steve. I'm currently restoring a 1984 K-5 Blazer that i bought new as my first truck. I'm having a lot of difficulty in getting guidance (exploded views/instructions) for installing weatherstripping. Are there any resources available to show how some of these shell and tailgate pieces should be installed? Please help. Pictures would be great.
