Let me guess, you typed up a nice long paragraph, hit submit, and got the old "Page Cannot be Displayed" timeout screen? Then you had to retype your response and resubmit. Happens to the best of us! :D

When I type a long paragraph on here, I copy it before submitting, that way I can just paste it when I have to resubmit.

FLAT TIRES IN KENTUCKY

New to the forum and wanted to say Hi!

Hello, everyone. My name is Sean and I'm 25 years old live in Phoenix,Az and this past saturday I bought my first K5 blazer and it is a 77. I don't have any pictures to put up here just yet because well she's not much to look at, at the moment. there's minor rust on the bottom back of the tailgate and the outter molding along the body is off or coming off. There is no back window because the guy before me that bought it opened up the inside of the tailgate to find it shattered and never replaced it. The let front rim is a little to wide for the wheel weld and rubs slightly against the tie rod. This is my second old school chevy as I like to call them. I had a 75 long bed truck but I blew the motor and didn't have time to rebuild it because I was leaving the state and had two other vehicles already so I sold it. Oh and before I forget I don't have reverse in my truck and the speedometer needs to be hooked up. Anyways, before I keep going with the little crap that needs to be done let me say that I hope I can help others on here as well as be helped because I have waited so long to have this truck or at least one like it and I want to make it into a really strong long lasting truck. So as soon as I put pictures up and have some questions about some ideas I have and even if someone out there has some ideas to throw my way that would be great!!! Thanks, and I'll see everyone around.

Howdy

I live in Palm Springs, CA and have a 89 K-5 with a 6" suspension lift and 35" tires. I am really trying to do more to the truck I want to drive it when I want to on the street then really hit the trails hard and not be ashamed by my rig. So any help and all help is needed.

I want to do a 2-3" body lift and add at least 38's.

So if you have advice and cheap parts let me know....

i'm trying to get this 77 K5. it's real cheap. 995$ but i'm sure it has a lot of issues. i need to get ahold of the 1000$ though so i can get it. i haven't really taken a good look at it yet. has a couple of minor rust spots. nothing i couldn't fix. or just pull a panel for.
i'm pretty pumped up about it.

Great to hear from you. Have had so much help on here its amazing. With winter fast approaching its time to get the toy put away. Lots of work to be done yet, as always. Will be in the garage for most of the winter. Not a bad thing..

New Member

Hello to all, a new member here. I'm not really sure how to post or reply here. First post I've ever done. A little something about myself. I'm from Massachusetts, almost always owned a K-series for the last 27 years. About 7 different ones and did various things to some. Currently own a 08 GMC as a primary vehicle and a 1987 V10 for a secondary vehicle. This thing really needs some work. I blew the stock 10 bolt rear. So I pulled the dana 44 and 14 bolt out of a 77 3/4 ton I had. Rebuilt them with 4:10s and ARB lockers. That is about the only perf mod I've done. Everything else is pure necessity. Looking forward to some good reading here.
