Hi! My name is Jason Cooper and I live in Eastern North Carolina. I have a 1987 K5 Blazer with the following modifications: Soft top, no doors, on board air, 12,000lb. Milemarker winch, Rhino lined interior, no sway bar, 4 inch lift, ammo can toolboxes, Locked up(EZ locker front/Detroit locker rear). The motor, transmission and transfer case are stock(350TBI/700R4/NP208) for the time being. My buddies and I like to wheel in the Uwharrie and Telico ORV areas. Just bought a Duramax and an 18ft. trailer to pull my toy and make sure I get home.

Hey, I'm Scott, I'm from Indiana and I just bought (about weeks ago) a 1986 K5. I don't have any pics to post yet, but it's in pretty good shape. I'm in the middle of replacing the bed floor right now, just rusted out around the tailgate mount and body mount points. Anyway, love the site...thanks for having me.

You have NO idea how glad I am to be on this site! I'm actually working on buying a K5 and should have the deal complete by next week!!!!

Someone asked me, why don't you get a jeep? No, I don't understand the Jeep thing, I don't like to be trendy. But I do understand the K5 thing, pleanty of space in the back seat for the ladies ;) . I'm not a gear head by any means so I look forward to getting help making my soon to be truck ready for some ALONE time with nature next summer.

My 72 Jimmy was my first car. It's been parked for about 3 years, now and I want to make it a trail rig. I dont have alot of money though so it could take a while before it looks as sweet as alot of your's.

New here got a 6.2 diesel non turbo. Found a 1988 truck with 50,000 original miles I'm sure I'll need some help on it before long. Had a 1ton 6.2 in 93-94. It held up pretty good. Thought I'd give this truck a shot.

Hi my name is Scott I'm in the process of building a 94 yukon not all the mods are finished yet, I'm working on setting up the front suspension, I have all the parts no time to install them. I purchased North west fab works Dual t-case adapter it rocks the design is clockable. any feed back on selectable front locker for d60r. enough about that love the web site especially tech articles,

Hi, my name is Shawn and our family lives in Redding, CA. Two sons, both teenagers and truck lovers. I bought this truck for my son a year ago, it ran strong and hard. One morning he started it and it sounded like a chain saw under the hood. An investigation discovered two bent spark plugs. Still runs but not drivable. From reading on this site, I know there's some pretty savvy mechanics out there. My guess is it threw the timing chain or at least skipped a link or two. Is it just the chain or do I need a valve job too?

hey everyone. this is my first post, i hope i dont sound like a retard but here goes...my name is mikkie (pronounced mickey) jordan. i live in copperas cove tx (about an hour or two from austin). i am a 19 year old firefighter for killeen texas. i have a 1986 chevy 3/4 ton pickp w/ some minor mods. i have owned the truck since i was 16 when i bought it stock. i blew the motor and my mom sold it for 400 buck. i bought it back and it sat in front of the house for a year and a half while i rode my bike to work so i could save money to build it. i started by lifting the rear w/ 4 in reverse shackles from ord and 4 in. lift springs from bds. in the front i have extended shackes from hill offroad and 6 in springs from bds and zero rates from ord. i rebuild the th400 and np208 while i was building my 383 stroker. motor is all roller w/ vortec heads, afterburner headers, x-pipe and flowmasters, k&n and full msd including pro billet dist. blaster 2 6al and ignition timng control from inside my cab and a 32 gal fuel cell. after that i ditched the 14sf and corp. 10b for a d60 and 14ff from a cucv w/ 4.56 gears and a detroit locker. also added ord crossover steering kit and changed the angle on my rear shocks. and moved the front axle forward w/ the zero rate. my driveshaft was then too short so i welded me together a "long travel" driveshaft made out of square tubing. i now have a milemarker winch from a military hmmwv (from my last job as a hmmwv mechanic ;) ) sitting in the garage along w/ my np203 (waiting on a 205 for my doubler :D ). well wat a mouthfull, eh? i just want yall to know that i love this site and i will be asking a lot of questions. please try not to get too annoyed. thanks
 
I live in New Albany, MS and I own a 94 Blazer that is completly stock. I have big plans for it in the future. I work at Master-Built here in town so I don't have too much time to tinker with my truck. I will be posting pics of it later.

Hello all... I am from Houston, Tx and now I am in the Army stationed at Ft. Polk, La. I have an 87' Chevy SWB pickup. That I have tinkered with for about a year know. I have learned how to fixs things when they break on the trail. Yea some say thats the hard way. But as we say here "We can't do nothin easy." So I have had a good time learning. This is a pretty expensive hobby I have discovered. But boys and there toys. Well I know there is much knowledge that I can gain from this website so I thank you in advance for any and all help I can get on this site.
 
Trouble with four wheel drive indicator light.

I own a 94 Blazer that is completly stock. I got it stuck a few weeks ago trying to help a friend un stick his ford. I gave her hell trying to get her out. Later that night I noticed that the four wheel driver indicator light failed to come on when engaged. I replaced the bulb and recieved the same results. Any info on what could be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

hey my name is seth i live in gainesville ga and i am still in high school but i recently bought a 1988 K5 Blazer. it is stock except for the flowmasters 50 series on it and a K&N airfilter and a JVC CD player and a set of 33's, they were all on it when i bought it. i am going to add a lift and bigger tires in the future.

Hello fellow ck5 members. I want to thank all of you for having this forum and hope to learn as well as help teach as much as possible about our rigs. I have an 84 K10 Chevy suburban. I am currently putting a new 4 bolt main under the hood. From there I plan to do all kinds of modifications, that is where all of you will become worth your weight in gold. My knowledge in making these mods are best described as novice, but with all of your expertice backing me up I should be up to speed in no time. Thank you for time and experience.
