Introductions & Greetings

Another AZ wheeler.

Hello guys. I Live in N. Phoenix and have owned Chevys 4x4s in the past. My current rig does have a stroker Blown 490 BBC with a manual 4l80 and doubler t-case setup. GM at heart. Nothing better than a Chevy engine.
Anyways I wheel a built Scout II, actually a SSII Scout. My Son a nd Built it years ago and rebuilt it again after years of abuse. Like allot of you here, we perform ALL of the work ourselves. Built, not BOUGHT.
You may have seen it in Peterson's 4 wheel and Offroad. It is this November's calender rig in their 2005 calender. It was a editor's top 10 pick of 2005 also.
It is NOT a Mall cruiser, but right now it would pass for one as I did get tired of the years of body damage and decide to rebuild the rig. So it is shiny and new; for a short while at least. ;)

If any of you AZ guys get a run going, feel free to get ahold of me and I will wheel with you. No puss trails, but no trails like the Matrix either. :D

Whats up folks... 86 Suburban here... Looking for some Mods and things here.. Seems like a sweet site thus far so I thought I would say hello

glad to finally find this site.

Been surfing a while and finally came across this site, wow great info.
Possibly looking at buying a basket 76 K5. I have a nice 85C20, that I was going to morf into 4wd from a 78 K20, but sold the K20. So if the 76 deal goes through, I'll be bit again.
:eek1:

Hey everyone. Don't have a K5 yet but thats why im hear. I recently crashed a Chevy Tahoe and its probably gonna get totalled so if anyone can help me find a K5 near or in Georgia that would be great.

Hello, I have been a registered user for some time now. I have a 76 K10 and have used this site to gain so much knowledge and info, this site is awsome!! Finally paid the full member price and will be well worth it! :D
Thanks for all the help!

I wondered if the full member price was worth paying, most other sites charge nothing, but are sponsored instead. Off road .com for instance. If I get this 76 I'm looking at Maybe I'll join too.

My swell intro

Hey all! I had some posts on the OLD boards from about 20 years ago but have none here.. I bought my high dollar membership a few minutes ago and bought my first K5 a couple months ago for $100.. a 75 I think.. no title or keys and supposedly runs... bought my Second K5 10 days ago.. a 72 with a fresh total rebuild on the 350... Its not as plush as my 98 C1500... I'll have to do some research on restomodding my 72 :D

New to 4x4 scene

Well, my name is Jeremy, im in Michigan, and i typically wasnt into trucks. I was and still am into sports cars, particularly compacts, usually the "enemy" of big trucks. Due to the recent snow i began driving one of my familys "beaters" which happens to be an 85 k5 with a 6.2 diesel. Its beat up, its rugged, but it has low miles and runs good, and i love it. It wasnt until driving around in this beast that i started to develop a love for turck. SO naturally, the first day i drove it, i went and got stuck, and had to get pulled out. It was fun, and i now, it seems, will have 2 expensive automotive hobbies:) I hope to learn alot, as I have with the whole sport compact scene.

where in Az are you Mike?

dude, Ive been in Az since 86. Done a few nice trails, but need someone else
with a full size for some perspective around here.

Get back with me, maybe we'll go out to the rolls or something.

This site is super awesome spectacular.

Hello everyone,

My name is Jon, I've been into four wheeling for 4 years and recently purchased a 1986 C10 rolling on 33's. After some searching I found this to be the best place for information about these trucks on the net!

Thanks, I hope to be here alot more often-
Jon

Newly aquired K5

Hey there
Just got myself a 89 K5 for a tow vehicle. This is my first 4x4. Just finished a fresh short block for it which I hope to replace this weekend. Following the heart transplant, floorpans. Looks like a great site here. I'm up in Ontario, Canada.
