Haha, yeah I like the black color on this one. Going with a satin finish which is kind of fun. Most industrial paint is glossy or semi gloss, so trying this satin/flat one is kind of interesting. I really like the way it turned out. Just wished it wasn't $120/gallon! With no A/C I'm unlikely to drive this between May-September, but it'll be nice at least 2 days out of the year...
Just take the doors off. Easy fix.

The paint is satin out of the can or are you using a flattening agent?
Satin out of the can. Two component mix. 4 to 1. It's PPG PSX 805.
Got the spare tire carrier completed. Unfortunately the spare blocks the rear facing light bar now. I might put a pair of smaller back up lights under the rear bumper if the light from the bar isn't casting enough light down low when backing up. Pretty pleased with the way it turned out though. As with my '90 K5, the spare tire looks huge in the pictures, but it looks more proportionate in person.
